Wisdom teeth

When I got all four of mine out (all impacted and traveling forward instead of down, one of them had to broken in my mouth to get it out) I had 4 xanax, not sure of the dose, beforehand for anxiety, not that i'm prone to it, and local and laughing gas. I got a script for 20 7.5 vicodins, and 800 mg ibuprofen. I had no issue with pain.

Is general anaesthesia common for wisdom teeth extraction procedures? It is optional, correct? I wouldn't mind having mine out, but don't think I'd care for general anaesthesia, would they let me just opt for nitrous oxide? Just curious.

Yeah it's optional, i don't mind general so i said Yes for it. Don't want to see needles going in my mouth and feel the grinding of the teeth being pulled out...that feeling creeps me out. The one tooth i had pulled before, was nice and numb but i could still feel a distinct grinding/pulling motion. Eff That

You've had back surgery? That seems to make it very possible to tell the doctor "When I had my back surgery, I found that XYZ didn't really cut the pain very much but ABC worked much better."

How old are you? If you have your wisdom teeth out at 20 it's a breeze. The older you are, the worse it gets.

21, and yeah i talked to him about my pain post op back surgery, never mentioned anything specific such as what i was prescribed but before i go under i plan on bringing it up in a discrete manner.

To be honest I'm not even worried about pain anymore, the sciatica i had was the worst pain in my life and that was continuous for 2 months...couldn't even walk. At this point I'm just curious what I'm going to get Rx'd and see if i am able to milk it a wee bit...with my back i could easily doc shop and get pain meds on the daily but that would just be flat out wrong, not in pain anymore so i don't need it.

i wanna get circumsized ugh,

Allergic to caffeine? No one would buy that. They only put 40 mg caffeine in T3's if I recall correctly. You could state sensitivity, there are some who are sensitive to caffeine, and even low doses causes severe insomnia. I never had that issue, but some do.

Just an update, 20x perk 10's with one refill, so basically 40x. CWE all day baby

Once the novocaine wore off the soreness kicked in...not really that bad

The pain is bearable, it will hurt a lot but I don't think you will be screaming out loud all day long. What you really have to watch out for is if the blood clot in the hole pops out. Then you can get something called "dry socket" and holy crap does that hurt like hell. Basically when that blood clot comes out your bone is exposed to the air...."shiver", my girlfriend got that when one of her wisdom teeth were removed and she just wanted to die instead of dealing with the pain.

So my advice, for the first few weeks try not to chew anything, just stick with a pure liquid diet, with a straw. Once things have healed up a little you can go back to solid food, but I wouldn't want to take the chance of getting dry socket. You would probably be on the streets begging people for heroin just for some pain relief.

The OP has forty Perocet 10's. I wouldn't be in any pain if I got that kind of script. Very lucky.

Yeah I'll admit i was pretty surprised at the Rx. My mouth is very very sore though even with all the oxycodone in my blood. My oral surg is the man, he just called asking how i was doing and to double up if need be and he added one more refill.
I was bugging when they put in the IV, i always do...getting a shot or giving myself one is no problem but an IV freaks me out. One of the nurses commented and said "Well at least you'll never get addicted to drugs" Which helped my cause a lot, made me smile.

That is absolutly fucked you got that much, and you got a refill. My god they give that shit out super easy where ever you live. Anyway my advice is for day 1 aka today stick to liquids and starting tomorrow slowly start working your way up to harder and harder foods. I was eating completly normal in 5 days. just swish with warm salt water after every meal. Also maybe stay away ffrom weed and watching comedy movies because that was me on day 2 and I think I slightly ripped my stiches from laughing so hard, but everything is fine now so maybe nothing happened.

You have to be absolutly fucked in the head, unless you have an actual medical problem with your foreskin, keep that shit where it was meant to be and by that I mean exactly where it is. I honestly when someone told me everyone is the sates is preety much circumsized I couldnt belive that people could be that dumb. I thought it was just a jewish thing.

I wish I weren't circumsized. Barbaric, and an example of tolerated genital mutilation.

When I got my wisdom teeth out, I got them out all at once. 3 were impacted, 1 wasn't. They did 7 extractions total, beause they had to cut the impacted ones in half. They told me not to take my clonazepam before the surgery, so I said I wouldn't, bt I took 4mg anyways. They gave me 3 injections of nalbuphine and 3 injections of midazolam. I was quite wasted, and they wer trying to put me to sleep but couldn't because I'm a drug addict (they didn't know that) and I was high as shit and felt like a million bucks.

I remember they were using a tiny little circular saw-type instrument to cut my teeth in half and blood was flying out everywhere and I was laughing. It was something else, I tell ya.

Anyways, they gave me tramadol, hydrocodone, and codeine for the pain. I actually didn't abuse the shit for the first and possibly only time in my life, because for me the pain was excrutiating, and lasted about a week for the bad shit, and another week after that it was pretty bad but not AS bad. So there's my 2 cents.

My oral surgeon was very open about the procedure and a cool guy. He gave me anasthesia using fentanyl and midazolam and then I got 20 pills of 5/325 percocets. As everyone has said the pain with wisdom teeth removal usually isn't THAT bad..
