Hey, what are you guys experiences with maintaining moist skin VS taking amp-related drugs, I find in winter time they dry out skin bad. Maybe you have some advice I haven't thought about? Obviously staying very hydrated, and getting enough sleep, and taking the healthy fatty acids, and good nutrition, getting fresh air, and use a moisturizer are basics, but they will only do so much. For some people will still fight bad skin.
more supplements like potassium, hyaluronic acid, maybe some vitamins, will help with the appearance of the skin, but I still get dry skin, no matter what I do or take, it seems. A low carbish diet also helps, but not enough.
Any "tools" you guys use to get through the winter in one piece :-)

I don't use amphetamine, but I do have eczema which is a dry skin condition.

The doctor said the only places that need to be soaped in the shower are the face, pits, and groin areas. The eczema is on my arm, so he said not to was there unless I do something that gets me dirty there.

I think you might get a better response in Healthy Living but you won't find as many tweakers over there so I'll give it some time here probably then send it over there for some more tips. Sound good?

^^ thanks.

re: unfortunately biotin doesn't make a difference for me. Maybe topical aloe vera though, 's been a while since I've used that.

Thing is, maybe I should look at substances that control the inflammation? or whatever is giving the dry skin "side effect". Usual "skin supplement remedies" doesn't seem to help (much) here.

Cortisol cream can be used, but for some reason you can only use it for two weeks, then you have to wait 2 weeks to use it again. So two weeks on, two weeks off.

wait, your dr didnt tell you to wash your ass?

I believe the ass was implied when he said groin area.

We gave this some time in OD and I think you might get some more helpful responses in HL so we'll try this over there now.

Fish oil pills help some with dry skin. Showering a little less with cooler water can help. Putting on a generous amount of lotion as soon as you get out of the shower is the biggest thing to help dry skin.

Dry skin is not usually from an underlying condition but can be from another condition or worsened by one. Hypothyroidism often causes dry skin which improves a lot with treatment. Bad news: dry skin tends to get worse and worse as you get older.

Avocado and cucumber. When you shower try to resist boiling hot water, the hotter the water is the more it will dry out your skin.
