Will using one opiate to ease withdrawals from another just delay withdrawals?

Currently im coming off a >2 week long 10 gram tianeptine binge. I didn't realize how much I'd taken until I took my last dose on day 11 or 12.

At first I just accepted I was fucked and have been in withdrawal for the past couple days. After three days of extreme lethargy, aching limbs, and RLS from hell I realized I still had ~500 grams of poppy seeds left over from when I experimented with them. I remembered that these were really potent (or perhaps laced with an RC opioid) seeds and only used 175 grams for the tea.

After the tea was made I drank about half of it and within 30 minutes I felt well again a tiny bit buzzed too. Now I've been using the tea for a couple days, not to get high but just to keep me comfortable. My problem is I'm out of seeds but should be past the withdrawals from the tianeptine, will I now get withdrawals from seeds after only using them for a couple days?

It will delay withdrawals, but also ease them. You won't get withdrawal from the seeds so quick, but discontinued use could bring back the original withdrawal symptoms you were feeling. Consider the seeds a taper, as long as you are still hurting a little, it is easing the withdrawal but making it easier. Don't look to it for total relief and you will be fine.

No you shouldn't. When I was addicted to norcos I used percocets for my withdrawals because I never had gotten sick from percs because I had never used them enough to get sick. I took em for a couple days when I was sick and was fine after
