Will the 2nd weekend of UMF be cancelled this year?

Doesn't the city realize how much money their businesses make from influx of festival goers?

They know that but they don't care, sure they'll get a few bucks from taxes etc...

What they do care about is keeping constituents/voters happy, Miami has a lot of old people they vote.

I've been saying this over and over. Ultra outgrew Bayfront park in 2009. The larger Bicentennial park is out of the market now. Ultra sold out in 2010 and as a result the tix in 2011 evaporated to scalpers, and the same thing happened in 2012. Tickets were being offered on Craigslist for $200-$300 / day! Or $600-$800 for all three days depending who you got the ticket from I myself paid $150 to go only Sunday but had to buy two tickets. Ultra, thinking only of the numbers and already crowding a retarder amount of ppl in Bayfront 2012, saw the only option of expansion as to make the festival a 6 day event. The local business owners who aren't selling water or glows ticks are not really making much. Those $76 million dollars largely go to the taxis/the clubs (Space, LIV, Mansion, Set, Arkadia, more recently - Story) these places charge $3000 for bottle service on MMW and WMC. Honestly ultra has overgrown Miami as it is more Hispanics than Miami Beach. The absolute party town. Ultra COULD consider moving the festival to the Beach from 7st until maybe 15st before all the Rich Ppl Hotels full of old biz men who don't give a damn about WMC.

My friend went to Miami the week of UMF last year but he didn't attend UMF he focused on the after parties and boat parties. He got to do a meet and greet with a few dj;s and vocalists. If I were to do UMF I would follow what he did. On the flipside EDC is where its at.
