Will propylene glycol dissolve gel caps?

If I wanted to put a propylene glycol solution into gel caps, would it dissolve them?

I'm guessing not as the 'jelly' nitrazepam is done in this way if I remember correctly (though I probably dont :p).

Would it be possible?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, just couldn't think which one it should go in.

You sure dude? As it's surprising what doesn't melt gelcaps. I woulda thought GBL would have melted them in seconds but it doesn't affect them at all. In fact there perfect for taking on a night out

At first I thought you meant nitrazepam dissolving in prop gly.

But no, it won't melt the gel caps at all.

But you would still have some mess, I'd say.

Why wouldn't nitrazepam dissolve in prop gly? I know phenazepam will, as does diazepam as thats the substance they use with ampules for injection (I think)

You sure it won't melt it dude? What ya mean by mess? Just generally getting it in? Never had to much trouble when getting GBL in with a pipette

Probably saved me from any unfortunate accidents that from what I've read seem far to common with phenazepam =D

You got the same idea I do :)

I've got some phenaz on order and planning to cap it once I've blended in the propylene glycol.

I had a few extra thoughts, for harm reduction and convenience, which I'll share with you.


Try adding a little gelatin powder to each cap before dropping in the prope/phenz mix. I believe this will almost completely eliminate any chance of the liquid inside dissolving the cap pre-maturely. And more importantly it'll make it harder for sex predators to use this drug to commit date-rapes.

I also plan to add blue/purple dye to the mix as any sensible human would with GHB and similar.


I'd like to add something to the mix to make it bitter and therefore much harder to disguise in a drink if any such lowlife scumbag goes ahead and tries to use this shit to spike anyones drink. At this stage I'm still on the hunt for such an additive.

speaking of gel caps, I just want to rant on dealers using them for heroin in St Louis.
it pisses me off in the summer months during my trips to the city. get all sweaty and then get handed gel caps. or be prepping all your shit in the bathroom on the counter and accidently set a button (thats what the gelcap of heroin is called) down in a little droplet of water then you touch it and squish it together to where it won't open. sorry, I've had this happen to me before with only 1 button in my possession. I ended up getting only like a quarter of the contents out. I squirted water into the gel cap and quickly sucked it up trying to get what I could, still didn't feel like a whole button shot though.
 
I'll keep this open but you might wanna start your own thread since this one is a few years old and the last time the OP has been active was 2011.
 
Most ghb/gbl I have came into contact with was colored blue for the purpose of harm reduction. IMO this would be a must for any chemical that is potent, and in a liquid solution. (such as phenazapam, etizolam, even nBOMEs ect.) As far as something bitter to add to make it less disguisable. I've heard of people using pure capsaicin (an active component to black pepper and most spicy things). It might not be tastey but you would definitely not be able to dose someone without their knowledge.
