Will oxycodone still work

I asked a similar question but didn't phrase it very well, I got prescribed 7.5mg of oxycodone for a bad accident. A couple mounts before by accident I used 20 mg of oxycodone for a good buzz. I was wondering if my 7.5mg perscribtion will even help my pain because I've used bigger doses in the past, I'm afraid my tolerance will shoot back up and stop the pill from working.
Any ideas?

It depends on how often you had taken those larger doses. You said it was a couple months ago so you hopefully will feel some pain relief. If it doesn't work, I would hate to see you run out of your meds. You could try using ibuprofen or motrin in between doses.

It generally takes about 2 or 3 months for a tolerance to go completely back down, I personally used to snort 45mg of oxycodone in one sitting and would feel amazing, but after being forced to quit ( court system) and coming back in about 2 or 3 months 20mg lit me up. I'm 15 and hopes this helps.

It should work.. If it doesn't id suggest coming clean to the doctor about this. He might increase your dosage. If the pain is chronic id suggest getting something that gives round the clock relief. This will reduce abuse potential aswell. There's nothing worse than being in untreated pain..

If you're taking opioids and only opioids for pain relief, it's proven to be much worse than a small dose of opioid plus an anti-inflammatory (aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen etc, not acetaminophen)

i just got switched from 7.5's........watch your liver man

as far as the question i dot know about tolerance just yet since ive only been on them a couple weeks...
