Opioids Will oxy or dilauded but through a 5 mg per day methadone dependency?

Will enough oxy or similar opioid cut through a 5 mg per day methadone dependency and get me off?

No experience here. With subs if it was a low enough sub dose it might work but especially just doing maintenance on the oxy for 2 days then doing high to get off would work as if I never was on sub

How does this translate to methadone.

I want to make sure I'm getting you buddy. You're taking 5 milligrams (mg) per day of Methadone, not 50mg?

Anyway, if all things are equal regarding the route of administration, in this case we'd be consuming both of these orally, Methadone is approximately 3x as potent as Oxycodone. That being said, this must be taken with a huge grain of salt. Methadone has a highly variable bioavailability from person to person. Methadone can also be influenced by foods, medications etc. This makes it difficult to estimate a dose with certainty. This is a good place to start.

You would need ~15mg Oxycodone by mouth to equal your 5mg Methadone. Also, Methadone has a duration of action up to twice that of Oxycodone. This means you will likely need to incorporate an extra dose of Oxycodone in a 24hr period to make up for this.

Note: uncommon among Opioids, both Methadone and Oxycodone have a high oral bioavailaility of ~85% meaning there's no real need to discuss the potential alternative routes.
