Opioids Will Nucytna help me with hydromorphone WD ?

Hey guys. Just wondering if Tapentadol ( Nucynta ) will help me with hydromorphone WD ? I have heard about tramadol helping, and that Nucytna is similar to tramadol, but cant find info anywhere regarding this issue. If anybody has any experience/input on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks bluelighters

It depends what you mean by "help". If your tolerance is rather high, then I don't think that either tramadol or tapentadol is going to make you feel well. They may ease your nerves a bit, but it's going to be far from comfort. I used tramadol for like 2 weeks after quitting methadone and I was far from feeling well. Honestly, there is no good dose with enough opioid effect that wouldn't have monoaminergic effects making you feel worse. If I were to choose one of these, I'd go for tramadol. Tapentadol is even weaker as an opioid, so by the time you reach a dose giving you a relief, you will have been feeling bad from too much serotonergic and/or noradrenergic effects.

^ tapentadol is stronger than tramadol. But yeah, they are both totally synthetic trash and they both suck.
