Will MDMA affect my training?

Alright, So I'm planning on taking MDMA for a party tonight.. It's currently 10PM so it should kick in by 11PM, meaning I'll probably still be up by 7am... My school starts at 9am and my workout is at 2PM.. I'm just wondering, will the afterglow of MDMA motivate me more and will be it be like a normal workout? I know I'm obviously going to be tired since I won't sleep all night.

I don't mean to sound like a dick here, but you clearly don't quite understand the purpose of rest in the grand scheme of the fitness world. Your workout will be shithouse. You won't recover adequately from it, if you even manage to 'do anything' productive, and with any luck you'll wind up catching some sort of bacterial or viral infection as a direct result of the lack of rest you've had combined with the immunosuppressive effects of MDMA.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not one to lead by example here. I've done a half decent weights session followed by a 32km ride into the city on 5 hours (or less) sleep after a night out partying on MD....Burn extra calories (particularly considering the lack of caloric intake), but definitely hinder recovery BIG TIME.

One or the other, imo. If you're going to take MDMA, write off tomorrow for any kind of exercise.
 
Yeah man, I would give yourself some time to rest if you plan on throwin down...
No matter how hard you push yourself, the progress or gains you would have made would be considerably less than they normally would, for sure.

Also, like Trozzle said, there is a distinct chance that you will be subjecting yourself to illness which, if you take your training seriously, is a friggin awful thing.

I just got over a horrible case of work camp influenza (refinery blues hahah) and it had me quivering in my bed, unable to sleep properly for several days and making me very unproductive, not to mention it threw my training schedule wayyyyy off whack and bummed me right out!

One or the other bro, I would say.

Yes, under your circumstances, which is just foolish, and theres no promise that youll have an afterglow either, it could be a bad comedown which may make your time at school dreadfull, and your memory/attention span is going to be horrible, so itd be pretty pointless to go to school honestly right after an mdma session. Go to sleep when u get off school, and when your well rested go workout, putting your body under all that stress and then without sleep on top of it is stupid.
 
Hell ya, your energy level won't be nearly as high and mdma tends to make you weaker physically. For example, you won't be able to bench press as much as you usually can. Running will be more draining too. But still, at least get a little training in or choose another day in the week to do it. Without rest or proper food intake, working out/exercise is kind of moot.

Half the battle is exercise; the other half is eating right and taking care of your body.
 
I guess I'm not the only one who had this idea for a username, lol

Anyways, from personal experience, you don't want to do drugs within 12-16 hours of working out or doing something that will take your concentration. Maybe if you can sleep/nap through class...
