OK when I was listening to BT today I was inspired to write this little bit and see what you all thought of it.. I know its has the boring rhyme scheme but just read:
What is the thing today people call a rave?
Is it something you love, or do to be a fashion Slave?
Some kats are there to get high on drugs.
Some are there to spread love and give hugs.
But I am there for the vibe and the music
I may do drugs, but I do not abuse it.
Should I be descriminated because of my age?
Or smiled at becasue we are both dancin on the same stage
I am a slave to the soul drive beat
Letting it take me away and moving my feet
Does how many years you have been walking decide on what respect you should recieve?
To me, age is only another way to decive.
Does house not take you up by your soul?
Or sweet ambience put you in a lull..
I feel even though i have been here for a short time
Every time someone is dancing and smiling I can reas their mind.
Maybe the media wants to destroy us and take it away
But No matter what I WILL still be dancing until the break of day
Some people say the scene is going down..
but might just they mean UNDERGROUND?
If there are people who let the scene take their heart
Would the media stop your just because 60 minutes picked it apart?
Just because I am 16, is there something wrong
When I look over and see YOU dancing to the exact song...
The beat steals your and my personal will
And makes us dance until the music is at a standstill
There are some of us who still go to dance and spread the vibe
But there are some who are there to cheat steal and lie
I am one to admit that I introduce to my body to Toxics
but just beacuase its on Dateline should I stop it?
The wonder and beauty it brings me is worth it all
So remember when the music comes to an end...
If you spread good vibes, you are always my friend
Dont let the media take us over.. we have built this on SO much more than a few TV' shows.. even if I have been in the scene for 9 months(im 16) I have stong feelings in this subject because the "rave" scene has opened up my life to many more things.. not just drugs.. I admit I do drugs on most ocasions but I ALWAYS remember to go sober everyso often to leave me in reality... all of the uninformed children should be educated as I was.. and there would be no problem.. the only problem would be lack of space on the dance floor.. Please.. stop the negativity.. put in your favortie album.. turn it up... and dance and smile until your heart is content... the scene has helped me learn this
