Hellloo guys,
Ive been taking about 20-25mg of adderall aday to help with opiate (roxi, opana) withdrawl. Its actually been working great to my surprise. I can actually get out of bed, go to class, and get school work done. But most importanly its reduced opiate withdrawl systems ALOT. No chills, throwing up, ect. The only thing is a little anxiety during the comedown of adderall, but very minor anxiety during the day when usually my anxiety during opiate withdrawl is horrible. As long as I stop taking it around 8:30 I can sleep too....with a little hydroxyzine to help. My opiate withdrawl symtoms usually only last about 4-5 days (from prior personal experience) So my REAL QUESTION is will I end up withdrawling from the addis after about 5 days of 20-25mg adderall use?

I know the method of using adderall for opiate withdrawl is contraversial, but the slight side effects of the addi are way more bearing than the side effects of my normal opiate withdrawals. I just dont want to end up with adderall withdrawls right after I end my opiate withdrawls.

Thanks for your help guys!

Huh?

..I don't know what "opiate" habit you think you have, but if it was anything real..than a stimulant like adderall would not help withdrawals..at least not actual withdrawals derived from truly being addicted to an opiate, in which case you would need another opiate, or a partial antagonist like suboxone. And also, there are no actual psychical withdraws for stimulants and uppers..at least not anywhere even remotely close to the realm of opiates..

There are three things you can have psychical withdrawal symptoms from. Opiates, Benzos, and Alcohol. Uppers are not on that list. So..no you will not feel withdrawals from using adderall. And if you think the adderall is helping your opiate withdrawals, than chances are they are in your head, because chemically, that's not how it works. People who claim uppers like speed, or coke, or any thing like that, get you psychically addicted, have never had an opiate addiction..because feeling a little irritable because your not tweaking all day like usual, or a general sense of anxiety, solely contrived by a psychological addiction, doesn't even come close to comparing to what it's like getting off opiates and being psychically dependent.

You will be fine. It took me A Year to 6months of 45mgs of Dexedrine a day before I experienced any amphetamine withdrawals. Its not terrible but expect to be very lethargic for two days. I dont think with your small dosing schedule you will withdrawal it would take months of everyday taking of the drug.

It is possible to withdraw medically from anything however the dosage and duration you are taking makes it unlikely. Note: i would taper a the end from the addies 100% for 2 day 75% for 3 and so on and try and keep back 2-3 just in case so you are not freaking if you get the hebie jebies and some thing i tell everyone water lots of water no less than 5-6 liters.good luck and keep a positive attitude and find a clean friend to talk to when it all get to much ..Thats what i would try...M.

Theres a whole thread on this site that talks about how adderall helps opiate withdrawl. And alot of people say it helps them as well. I did not have a severe opiate habit....but enough of one that gave me night sweats/chills, vomitting, and so on. And your right, they probably arent as intense as some peoples withrawls. but that wasnt my point. I will try and be more clear next time.

Anyways thanks for the advice guys and for answering my question!

Amphetamine/adderall withdrawal is depression, lethargy, cravings and a general loss of motivation.

This can happen after a week of using Addy, it can also never happen to some people. It depends on how you hold it psychologically. Do you love addy? If so, you'll most likely have withdrawals.

Amphetamine "withdrawal" from continuous use is more of a drawn-out crash from what I've heard.

There's also the psychological standpoint people have noted.

If you've been taking them all week don't be suprised if you feel a little irritable for a week or so.

Thanks for your help! And this is my first time taking adderall for more than a day. And ive probably altogether only fucked around with it twice. (for all night study session). I dont really enjoy the feeling because Im more of a downer person. Im just taking it beause its masking some of my opiate withdrawal symptoms. I think I will be fine because I dont think I will crave them at all. The sooner I can stop taking them the better!

Amphetamine withdrawal is one of the easier ones to deal with, you'll be more tired, very hungry and probably not in the best mood. If you take care of yourself, take some vitamins and eat healthy (fish oils seem to help a lot), you'll recover pretty quickly, in 3-4 days. After that, you'll be fine. :)
