I'm getting drug tested on Monday.
The threshold for a positive result for opiates is 300ng/mL.
If 1 million ng = 1 mg, and I took 30 mg of hydrocodone, then I took 30 million ng.
According to my sources, there are 70 mL blood per kg; if I weigh about 66 kg, then there should be 4620 mL of blood in my body.
If this is true, then I'd have to have 1,386,000 ng (300ng x 4620mL) in my body in order to fail.
If the half-life of hydrocodone is roughly four hours, and I dosed at 2pm yesterday, then by now (24 hrs later) I should have 0.46875 million ng in my system, so I'd pass.
Is my math correct, or am I way off?
