Bupe Will I now have a dependence on Suboxone after taking 4-8mg tablets over a week?

I was using them to withdraw from hydromorphone and fentanyl (1 month of everyday usage). I know I probably only needed one 8mg to get me through the worst but I was able to get 4 and well..the addict inside you know? I spread that 32mgs of bupe over 1 week and took my last dose yesterday. I got through the dilaudid and fent w/d no problem but now I'm wondering am I gonna have a bupe dependence? (ie notice withdrawal effects once stopping them)

And how long would it take to get physically addicted to subs? Taking them everyday, on a maintenance-type program?

We'll to be honest with you crestfallen subs don't work like that. Bupe is an opiate just a partial agonist so it will only keep the WDs at bay like taking any other opiate including your DOC. Unless you tapered down to a minimum of 1mg of sub you'll be right back in WD after the bupe leaves your system. You should see if you can get another 4 or 5 8mg subs & search up some taper schedules on here.

Well I took 4-5mgs the first day, and the remaining 3-4mgs the next day. After that wore off, I didn't feel much physical w/d(runny nose/eyes, aches, rls) just a lot of anxiety. A few days later, I got the other 4 tablets.

I understood that it worked by occupying the majority of opiate receptors thus keeping you out of w/d (by partially agonizing them). Full agonist occupy 100% of these receptors and "agonize" them to a greater degree than the bupe does. So by taking the bupe, it allows those receptors to take a small break while the rest of whatever full agonist you were taking clears completely out of your body leaving you only with the bupe. And also because bupe metabolizes much more slowly due to its long half-life, it gradually brings you back down to baseline without much physical discomfort. Am I mistaken?

I did the exact same thing as you last week, but for heroin. You'll feel alright for a couple of days after stopping, days 4 and 5 is when it really hits you. It's not comfortable but as long as you know what to expect, you should be alright. You can do this. :)

In my experience, as long as you keep your bupe use to less than a week, you should be "OK"...I mean, like some will say, an opiate is an opiate is an opiate ....etc. but bupe, being a partial agonist, with high affinity and long half life......it can be used effectively for short term rapid detox. A LOT of it is mental....I always swore that the people who said opiate withdrawals were mental had no idea what the hell they were talking about...but after years of opiate use, I now realize that more of it is mental than you want to believe....you need to be confident in yourself, mind over matter...KNOW you are going to succeed, REMIND yourself why you are getting off these drugs that rob you of your life...and you will feel better faster, I promise you.

a lot of people on here swear by suboxon but listen I went from 11 year opiate addiction never once made it through wds before finding more to subox once on it never took opiate everyone talks bout its a miracle drug subox gave me the worst wds of my life and it almost killed me spent 2 days in hospital been on sub for bout year everyone talks like it miracle drug fuck that takin other meds with it or quittin cold turkey can KILL YOU lortab wd cannot and are so much mild than sub and wd for up to 5 days max sub took 2and a half weeks of almost no sleep severe cramps and pain skin on fire nausa depression sorrible horrible pain so anxious have to walk around every 10 mins but it hurts do so hospital gave me tabs till sub wd clears now the lortab doesn seem so bad

IME, you can use it pretty effectively as a short-term detox. if you stay on it a long time, the withdrawal can be pretty rough as you can read about on here, but i've found that tapering down the sub over a week or 2 can get you through the worst of the w/ds without creating any sort of new, more hellacious w/d. stopping everything completely is always going to suck to some degree for a few days--and if you've been a long-term opiate addict, you will still have to deal with depression, boredom, paws, etc., but a short-term bupe taper/detox can help a lot w/ the physical aspects.
