I was on 16 mg daily of bupe for about 3 weeks before i started having some serious side effects. I tapered myself off over these past 2 weeks and am now using kratom and PST as an aid in the withdrawals. I will be starting methadone in about a week and a half.
My question is because of the bupe has my tolerance for kratom sky rocketed? I feel close to no effects from the kratom when before it gave my very nice, opiate like effects. Whats the deal?
I do however gey some effects from the seed tea. Im confused, i want my kratom high back. What is going on with this guys?

I've never used Kratom, but Buprenorphine is a very potent opiate, regardless of the fact that its a partial agonist. .3mg IV infusions are equipotent to 10mg of IV morphine. When Buprenorphine was only available for pain, it was always given in microgram dosages. In fact, the BuTrans patches, which deliver the drug transdermally (which has an incredibly BAD BA) has a maximum dosage of 20 micrograms/hour.

What I'm getting at is that 16mg of buprenorphine is almost certainly going to raise your tolerance, even to strong opiates like Dilaudid or Opana. However I'm not exactly sure how Kratom works. I was under the impression that it did effect opiate receptors, but it worked on Seretonin as well. The reports have been conflicting as I've heard some are able to get effects out of Kratom while on blocking dosages of Buprenorphine and others aren't. With the PPT it makes sense as there are many other alkaloids in there besides Morphine and Codeine, and I've even heard some people who use Bupe to get off PPT still experience some W/D symptoms due to this fact.

IME it takes some time to be able to get that original high back, even from stronger narcotics like heroin. If you're planning on going on methadone, then you should try and focus mostly on making sure you just feel alright and forget about getting high, because once you're on a blocking dose of 'done, getting high is pretty much out of the question.

Yeah it's likely that the bupe is blocking the kratom. It generally at least blocks the opioid effects of kratom, especially at doses of 16mg/day. Methadone will block kratom too. And yeah, being on maintenance doses of bupe or methadone will greatly raise your tolerance to any other opioid. Maybe the poppy seed tea is just stronger than the kratom, I'm not sure. How much bupe blocks and what it blocks seems to vary a lot from person to person.

Bupe is a very potent partial agonist opioid and will raise your tolerance to opiates and kratom. I was on suboxone for a year and just came off of it but a few months ago I stopped taking the bupe for 3 days and tried kratom for the first time. It really didn't do much. I suppose I was still getting a blockade effect or that kratom just doesn't work.

I would strongly advise against getting on methadone unless you absolutely need it. That stuff is bad news all around. If you must, then make sure your dose doesn't get too high or it will take forever to taper off.
