Trust me, I know I didn't need to be on the Suboxone for so long. That I probably didn't need to be on it at all since the bupe is stronger than the dosage of hydro I was taking. But I listened to my doctor instead, and so like most things, by the time I realized all of this and actually did my own research it was already too late. I just like to try and get my story out there... both my experiences with pure opiate addiction AND with Suboxone... so that people can avoid both if possible.
Lol, I once had someone tell me, "You're too young to be on Suboxone." I was like... what? I'm too young to be addicted to drugs? Why were there 14 year old heroin addicts in rehab with me back when I was 16 then...? I just thought it was kind of strange. The girl who said it worked in a pharmacy too and is going to pharmacy school, lol that's the sad part. I guess it's just another example of the ignorance too many people have when it comes to opiates... in ALL aspects of the medical profession.
OK so now you are at the point where you are still having W/Ds from lack of Suboxone ? If so I would make an appointment with a pain clinic that has a doctor
that is licensed to prescribe Suboxone or any doctor that is licensed to perscibe it . Tell them your story and the fact that you would like to do it "right" this time with their help . My guess is they will help you out and set you up on a realistic taper plan . Follow their plan and you will be OK . The 30 or 60 day Sub taper plan works for most people .
Like I said I didn't want come across rudely and what the hell we all make mistakes . I made a big one when I got hooked on the oxy . I knew better but shit happens .
WHen I'd had enough I found a Sub Doc and got myself fixed . Or at least I am not an addict anymore .
