I took lsd about 4 months ago, and ever since then my highs are very different.
I usually have increased senses, the munchies, and some euphoria, but now if I smoke i no long get the munches, increased senses (best way to explain this is everything feels a little better), instead i have slight visuals and feel very weird, almost like im on speed...
I dont like the new high, idk if its because i took lsd or if its because i got a new contact....?
Any opinions?

Different weed could be a big factor in it, though not world changing. Maybe the LSD just made you more aware of the trippiness of teh herb?

Or maybe your just getting a tolerance building up - that changed the high most for me!

This use to happen to me after I'd have a trip on LSD , though not for 4 months , I would just get really fucked and get a more nauseous feeling than usual for about a week or two . It's probably got something to do with the weed .

Are you used to smoking Indicas which give you couch-lock? It sounds like you're now smoking a Sativa or Sativa dominant type of herb. I'd just enjoy it but I happen to love the psychedelic effects of herb which you can get from smoking a Sativa/Sativa dominant type or from vaporizing herb. Yes after taking both LSD and mushrooms I was made more aware of how herb is a psychedelic but this also happened when I ate herb in edibles after taking acid just once in a large dose.

I also began getting psychedelic effects from herb when I started to smoke high quality herb as opposed to mid grade or schwag.

Yes, I think so. Weed has always been trippy for me, but after taking psychedelics it has been more so. I don't think this has anything to do with what type of pot you're smoking, but has more to do with getting in the psychedelic mental scape.

Why don't you like the new high? I really enjoy head highs, more so than body highs.

I've noticed since tripping that cannabis feels more trippy than it used to, think you just notice the effects more. Saying that the weed has been getting better and better for the past few years so maybe its just coincidence ;)

I got awesome CEVs last night with weed alone. Just saying.

I have had this happen to me after tripping, back in 2007 I abused the fuck out of shrooms (got HPPD) and it did make weed a lot trippier for a long time. I don't trip anymore but when I would trip less frequently I would always notice that smoking after the trip would cause mild visuals and this would happen to an extent for a day or two after tripping, after that it always returned to normal though (apart from the one time with HPPD). I never did notice a speedier aspect to the high either, it was mainly the same I would just get mild hallucinations like tracers and light wall breathing or patterning on stuff and more intense colouring etc.

Recently I acquired some outdoor grown marijuana that seems to be pretty heavy on the sativa side and it really is a lot more of a head high than any of the other buds I have at this point in time. I have smoked my share of outdoor bud but can honestly not recall smoking weed that was as totally lacking in sedative effects as this bud. I have been smoking for ten years, daily for more than half of that, and this is the first time I have come across anything like this. Usually I can smoke through the day/in the morning without feeling too burnt out, so long as I keep smoking all day, but if I stop smoking for a couple hours I start to feel really lethargic, but this stuff I can smoke a fat joint or some bongs through the day and when it wears off I feel fine, its really strange.

I can see how if you were to change sources at the same time you tripped and were recieving bud so drastically different to what you are used to, like the bud I got recently, then I guess the two factors together could exacerbate symptoms atypical of what you usually associate with cannabis. 4 months does seem like quite a long time after just one trip though...

Marijuana is a psychedelic. Set, setting, and frequency of use all factor heavily into the overall experience. Try smoking less often and only in good environments to weed out more of the negative experiences. A trick I've learned is to go on a nice walk while smoking. It makes any smoke/ trip a more spiritual experience, IME.

I noticed this after the first 3 times i took lsd. It made it alot more trippier and i would get the occasional CEV if i smoked enough. I can't explain it.

Great point, Parappa. Don't forget that cannabis is a powerful psychedelic, packaged in with euphoria, delightful brain fog, munchies, sedation, pain relief, muscle relaxation, etc.

I absolutely love psychedelics, they're simply the most amazing substances ever. I'm very in tune with the way my brain works in conjunction with its surroundings, and how our surroundings (people, animals, traffic, weather, terrain, emotions, personalities) work in synchronicity with each other, creating either harmonious beauty, or conflicting dischord. I was left astounded, and realized how little we really know about this world and the way it works.

I noticed how powerful of a psychedelic cannabis was after having my first LSD experience at the age of 20. The introspection, creativity, amazing musical observations, etc from cannabis made so much more sense after experiencing a true psychedelic like LSD. The reason a lot of people can't handle cannabis due to getting anxious, depressed, panic attacks, etc are the same reason they can't handle real psychedelics.

Psychedelics are simply a tool used to enhance our own mindset in relation to our settings. If these two are not in a good state, our psychedelic experiences, including ones as minor as cannabis, will not be either. Of course, a lot of opiate/benzo users on this board who would normally not be able to handle it can smoke cannabis on their hard drugs, but that doesn't count, since those drugs take away the side effects of cannabis.

Sorry for the long winded post, it's just that cannabis and psychedelics are hands down my two favorite things in the world. <3

drugs change people. especially psychedelics and deliriants. after taking an insane dose of DXM one night I like to think I had an awakening and that it changed how i feel and even sometimes act regarding some things forever. if DXM can do it, LSD does it easier.
