    Welcome Guest!

Why is it that some people gurn while some don't?

i agree that its ALL in your head! i used to chew up my mouth like crazy, and nobody around here does that, so i thought i was just weird! but i've learned to control it now, so its not as bad, but i also do it some in my sleep. it used to be so bad that i could barely talk for the next week until the sores healed.
i dont recommend chewing on anything that could break/leak/etc...they gave me a lighter to chew on once and i chewed right thru it...lighter fluid in the mouth isn't too tasty. another time i was chewing on a straw, but when i looked in the mirror, i had blood crusty's all around my mouth! (sorry, i know its kinda gross!) i must have missed the straw and gone right for the tongue without noticing...oopsies! they gave my friend chopsticks to chew on, and they didn't last too long either.
but i've noticed that when i try to focus on not chewing on my mouth, it takes away from the experience, b/c im not going all out, i hafta control myself, and thats no fun!!

ive eaten a very large amount of pills in my 19 years.
THis is all assuming i have nice, clean, good pills. I have no jaw clenching, but sucking feels very nice ;) . I dont get eye wiggles, but i have the ability to wiggle my eyes at will so its all good. I dont even get dialated pupils, heh. In fact, i can tolerate good amounts (meaning like 120mg heh) of e well enough that u probably wouldnt notice i was rolling if u diddnt know me personally, or if i told you (which i prolly would).

When you say "tolerate" do you mean it doesn't hit you at all or up to that amount you are able to be in enough control of yourself that if you need to you can act "sober". I can do that after 1 but not 2. Lucky you about the dilated pupils. Thats the only thing that can give me away usually.
On holiday I'm planning to drop 1 or 2 and see if anyone notices at all, cos they all think it just puts you on your ass and fucks you up with gurns and spasms for days (damn media lies!).

And until I read this thread I just thought "gurning" was just another funky UK term for "rolling" I didn't know it refered to the jaw clenching. You learn something new every day (well actually it's something old since other people already knew it and I wasn't the first to discover it, but you get my drift)

He he he! Just so you know honey, gurning is a British word for ugly face pulling - here's a link to the oldest gurning contest in England

(hangs head in embarrasment at being British ;) )

After posting that I can generally control my grinding with my mind, I sit here on tuesday morning feeling all the loose bits of skin (and pain) on the inside of my cheeks, and edges of my tongue. I also appear to have bitten the middle of my tongue quite hard at least once. Oh well, I guess nothing works perfect every time. Maybe next time the mind control will work. I do recall at one time my teeth were chattering very hard, so I smartly stuck my tongue in the middle to quite them down. that was a bad idea . . .
