Why don't I (and some others) get notified of new messages all of a sudden?

I have some threads on my watch list, and for some I don't get notifications even if all the right boxes are set.
I know from another platform that uses XenForo that there's a thing called push notifications or something like that, and that must be allowed to get instant notifications (after reloading)
Do we have something like that here?
Because there's people missing out all the important infos, especially those in The Abyss and The Pit!!!

I'm not sure what's going on, but idk if I've missed any notifications or not. It also looks different in the text box when you quote/reply to someone. I'm guessing the admins are messing with something

If it goes to a new page before you made another post in that thread or looked at the thread then you'll stop getting alerts

Makes sense. Pagination is a bitch, we always have problems at work with that.
