why does you voice change after you blaze

Most likely psychological/due to the effects of the drug in question. By "blaze" I'm assuming you mean "smoke cannabis", in which case the fact that you're smoking may come into play.

Maybe it sounds different to you since you are high?

I guess I kinda sound tired when really blazed, but I am usually tired at that point so it only makes sense.

My guess- both smoke irritation and acid reflux caused by opioid-induced lower esophageal sphincter-relaxation can cause inflammation of your larynx (aka laryngitis) which causes a lower, raspier voice.

Other than pot smokers slipping into stoner speak and people nodding off in mid-sentence I never noticed either affecting the voice.

My friends say that my voice lowers when I'm on opiates, and that's how they can tell if I haven't mentioned it. I think when your mind slows down, your voice becomes a little slower and lower in pitch. Just speculating.

back when i first started smoking sometimes I would feel like my voice had changed, but I knew it hand't - i was just really high. Kind of like a dissassociative effect, I would feel like the words coming out of my mouth were being spoken by someone else. It didn't sound like my voice.
