as can I. I call it the euchrist effect. once you have taken the sacred sacrament of drugs you can rationalize a whole slew of things mind numbing comfort being one of them. Thanks for sharing larre.

I like the idea that the whole poem is a critique of the lifestyle of the "you", and then at the end the admission that the "you" is the narrator... Something about that veiled safe-hatred / frustration goes very well with the idea that the narrator is damaging himself on purpose. Does that make sense?
