Why do people like benzo's ?

Because benzos are TOOLS.

With alcohol you won't need to drink as much to feel your desired alcohol induced effects! This has been a great help for me!

With weed they totally negate the negative side of the high! I.e. No anxiety and paranoia!! That's great!

With stims (coke IME) they completely negate the nasty crash and jitters and anxiety induced by the stimulant comedown!

With Ecstasy and MDMA they help great with coming down the next day. Some weed, couple benzos and 5-htp and I'm great!!

With LSD(IME) they stopped the stimulation from the drug in order to help me sleep after the 12hours of insanity!!

They're just tools IMO. They also go great with just a relaxing Sunday where you may just wanna have a couple drinks with your fam or play some video games or watch a movie!! They're great!!

But of course highly addictive...

Why do I like benzos? Because I experience horrible episodes of exceptional anxiety that a balanced nutritional diet, thorough exercise, and meditation can't alleviate.

Beta-blockers do very little.
SSRIs/TCAs/Pregabalin/etc... tend to help with general anxiety (I do take 100mg Dosulepin to help with GAD) but they're not good for acute episodes.

Benzodiazepines are a useful tool in treating a troubling issue, when other routes have not proven so fruitful.

I wouldn't say I've ever 'abused' them, I'm prescribed them medicinally and I take them medicinally.

Opiates on the other hand... OM NOM NOM

Only reason I ever use any benzos if I have some serious anxiety & can't forget about what happened.......benzos are great under this scenario & after small doses for 2 or 3 days, I'm back to normal.

Actually, its good to take some during the anxiety scenarios so you don't keep going with the anxiety.

As for why do people love them? The answer is obvious......they make you feel normal taking away anxiety/stress but if you don't watch yourself, you will be popping them like candy.

Benzos are not something to mess with like you can with other stuff.

I honestly like the feeling of drinking, except I always get the spins bad, so I almost never drink. So for me benzos give me that drunk feeling and no stomach problems period, but it's really weird because its suppost to be anti anxiety but I end up having this weird stressful feeling like I do from my anxiety. And when I come down off a weeklong kpin binge, I end up having terrible anxiety or the next week or 2
