ear infections, colds, lots and lots of colds.. Flu, others I get I'll this time of year every year without fail the rest of the year in healthier than a tri athlete but november -December I'm usually always ill on either my birthday or Christmas am I cursed? Are you cursed? Do curses even exist

got your flu jab this year? You can book it online at Boots
nah i dont do vaccines they tried to get my grandma to have one but i didnt let her i know besides if i start taking vaccines i will get used to them and have to use them every year

That isn't how vaccines work mate.
i never said how vaccines work i said i will get used to them(my immune system will) and i will have to keep taking them so my immune system keeps up mate you was in the army yes? Which correct me if im wrong still have forced vaccinations

Im saying that your immune system "getting used to them" isn't how vaccines work.

The army can't force you to take anything, in the first gulf war they were shiting themselves over chemical weapons and told the lads that they needed to take certain things but no one is gonna hold you down and force you.

Actually it kinda is how they work if you want to know specifically how they work a dead antigen is mixed and molded into mercury and other binding agents and then injected into your body a hyperactive immune system can be damaged more by this than the real thing so it has to get used to it but then it cant attack the real thing im glad to here they dont do that anymoree in ww1 and a lesser scale ww2 you were held down and forced to be injected infact the spanish flu was probably caused by vaccines i know im gonn a get mocked and laughed at here but idc

flu strains change each year. You might well have a healthy immune system which can combat them normally, but those with chronic conditions like asthma or the elderly with compromised immune systems should get them

as for other vaccinations like measles, Meningitis, TB, polio, Tetanus - you should get them and hope your immune system does get used to them, in case you encounter the real thing.

Funnily enough I've been browsing my NHS's Patient Access online which contains your whole medical record stretching back to when you were born, and noticed several gaps in my inoculation history which I must raise with my GP

Oh dear lord..

i used to get a cold generally when the season changed, weird. i don't get them so much anymore. i do believe in vaccination though. i think we'd be fucked without vaccines.

Colds have nothing to do with being cold or the weather- they're viruses

i know they are viruses. just seemed to coincide with the season changing as to when i would sometimes get ill.

This always made me laugh about drug users 😂😂😂😂

Happy to put unknown foreign substances into their body that come from shady as motherfuckers who peddle their product as ‘the best shit ever’ regardless of the fact it just looks like mineral turps, but VACCINES?!
Omg I can’t put that crap in me!
It’ll damage my ethereal body (or some shit)

My ex husband could IV every 2 or 3 hours for a fortnight, but if I offered him a fkn panadol for his headache he’d look at me like I had just tried to give him ratsack 😒

Yeah you are right tho.
Spring-summer and summer to autumn are the worst where I live.
The extra humidity is a breeding heaven for bugs.

Actually there is supposedly a correlation between catching cold more frequently in winter time as oppose to summer...

In quoting from a website called flucamp.com

"The cold weather also affects the body’s immune system, as it wears down defences against infection. The shorter days and longer nights of winter mean less sunlight and thus less natural vitamin D – which helps power the immune system. This consequently makes us more vulnerable to infection."

and...

"The cold virus also transmits faster in the cold. Lower temperatures make its lipid coating tougher, and therefore more resilient and active. Cold air also carries less water vapour than hot air, making it drier. So when we cough and sneeze the mist of particles from our mouth and nose remain in the air for longer; as a result, it is more likely for us to catch the cold virus."

Meth Novice 79 i live in the uk mate, so the winter's here can be a bitch. couple that with my immune system obviously being piss poor due to i.v. use and it's understandable that the change in temp could make it so i get ill. Apocalypse_When i'm not the brightest bulb in the flowerbed but reading your quote does make some sense.

I get sick/take sickdays at certain times of the year, almost every year.

Usually, I think, I am maybe depressed/on a low at these periods. I'm generally not physically ill.
