You may be hypersensitive to the quetiapine or the heroin. As someone said before the quetiapine can produce dream like feelings at lower doses & will be somewhat synergistic with the H. The quetiapine also could be a deleriant at higher doses as most anti-histamines are. Also as rare as it is there is a possibility of having a bad reaction to opiates that produce psychedelic like effects. I remember years ago a friend of mine's grandmother was scripted Vicodin, just the regular 5/325mg ones or whatever the smallest dose one are & she had very strong psychedelic reaction to them. Around a half hour after her first dose she was telling anyone who would listen she felt funny, which we all just chalked up to her having not used any opiates in many many yrs. Well about an hour after her first dose she started to freak out yelling at my buddy's mom for "letting the painters in to work at night". At this point everyone realized something was definitely not right with her, when we asked her about the painters she got really agitated that we could not see the "little Italian painters" & claimed that we were messing with her. Then when she realized we really weren't seeing what she was, she became very scared & began to cry uncontrollably. At this point we were all fearing for her safety so her family took her to the ER. Not sure what they did to her at the ER, probably knocked her out with benzos till the hydrocodone wore off. But the doctors told her family that it was a bad reaction to the hydrocodone. So although rare an experience like yours is not unheard of.
