Why did my marquis reagent liquid turn reddish? I mean the reagent itself did - not mixed with anything.

How long did this colour change take to occur? The marquis reagent doesn't have a super long shelf life and tends to go brown over the course of 6-12 months, as well as slowing its reactions.

To a certain point it still works as it should, even when colored, however these are signs that he's getting old.

To extend shelf life either store them in a fridge (inside a bag or another container) or optimally - freeze them, with the exception of Simons and Liebermann. They freeze, become solid and upon defrosting change color.
