Why can't I get a buzz in the mornings??

It's the weirdest thing. When I wake up in the mornings first thing, I'll snort 20mg of oxymorphone/opana or a point of heroin, but I never feel it! No matter how much I do, I cannot get a buzz in the mornings! It's like I waste whatever drugs I do, but I can't just not do anything or I'll be sick from w/d.

Does anyone else experience this or have any suggestions? I have tried eating right after (which usually kicks my buzz in if I eat right after doing a pill) and I've tried not eating. Either way, I don't get high. However, if I snort the same amount or less in the afternoon or evening, I catch a great buzz!! What is it about mornings?! It's so frustrating b/c mornings are the best time for me to get high. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This seems very odd because most mornings if Im doing an opiate/opiod class drug i can feel it better than any other time in the day. I'm not sure this might just be you but maybe try eating something before hand and if you already are try not eating and do it before. Good luck

I would imagine most peoples responses are going to mirror the beginning part of HOH post as it is more then typical for the lowest tolerance to be found after an extended break in use we call "sleeping" (former IV heroin user). So generally after sleeping its been 6-10 hours since someone has used a substance and if you use through out the day that very well may be the longest break you get.

Really couldnt say why you would experience the opposite especially if you already considered diet as a reason. Perhaps its because you are drowsy in the morning and its kind of impacting your mental state and changing the experience?
