Hi Folks just want to share an article to all of you workoutholics our there like me:

http://www.livestrong.com/article/454035-why-can-exercise-make-you-irritable/

I have been noticing lately that I have been becoming more irritable and little things upset me. My family have noticed it too and asked me if I was back to my debaucherous ways which I have denied. My father suggested that I do some research on doing too much exercise and found the article above. So if any of you are experiencing irritability due to exercise, maybe it's time to re-assess your game plan and re-construct a more effective workout plan.

If you're stressing the CNS too much, which can happen through weight training (not sure about other exercise), you can end up feeling low and more prone to irritability. Smart exercising/having a structured plan is the way forward. No need to overdo it. Like with weights, training twice a week is sufficient if you work hard on those days for an hour or so. For me personally I need that many days rest otherwise I'm unable to exert myself fully the next time.

Also, fuck jogging haha. Really buggers my knees up, even on when running on grass. Cycling ftw!

^I have to admit, exercising has been my addiction for about a year and half now, and every time I think i ate so much calories it freaks me out and makes me want to double or even triple my workouts. I am changing my workout plan to every other day so I don't get too tired from over-exertion. I have also decided not to exercise if I feel that I did not get enough sleep.

Not sure if I believe the article / maybe it's true but it didn't apply to me... I was super into lifting weights a couple years ago, went to the gym almost every second day... I didn't feel irritable in the least. In fact, I always felt better (endorphins, seeing progress, etc)

imo don't worry about the cals so much, as long as you exercise + eat right and limit the binge drinking / high calorie foods + not gaining all that much fat, you're doing all right.

I got bored of lifting weights / the gym, so my 'new' hobby is soccer (played this all my life in youth leagues but stopped the last few years) + snowboarding. it helps to change it up
