Covid-19 Who's planning on getting a COVID-19 vaccine? (Poll)

He's been pro-vaccine since the measles outbreak a few years ago at least but prior to that he had made comments about there possibly being a link between vaccines and autism.

Personally I won't be getting this vaccine since I had a bad reaction to a flu vaccine a few years ago I decided that it was better if I avoided future vaccines.

They are constantly learning more about some of the long lasting effects in young adults and children and I highly doubt 1000's of scientists would lie about the vaccines safety .
And I read today about a 19 year old who passed away from covid and he was healthy so not just the elderly.
Anti Vax people should be sterilized because imo not giving your child their shots is child abuse/neglect.

At the beggining of the pandemic I had this hope that a common enemy would help unite the people and make vaccines popular again ( like they were after polio). What a pretty little fool I was.

It's only if you have experienced anaphylaxis from any of the ingredients in the vaccine, or from any vaccines in general, in the past. It's not like if you have a peanut allergy and have been in anaphylaxis before, it has any bearing on the vaccine.

If I remember correctly, you are considerably more likely to have a seafood allergy if you have a peanut allergy. Couldn't be bothered confirming it with a source, but a lot of people I know who have allergies are allergic to multiple things... My daughter has multiple allergies. My sister-in-law has multiple allergies. This should be rare if an allergy to one thing has no bearing on an allergy to something else. Maybe I'm not thinking clearly. Maybe I just know a lot of allergic people.
 
Vaccinated 5 minutes ago. Proud to be in the first 0.3% of the country. Almost everybody else here is over 70.

Never thought I'd be looking forward to a vaccine jab as much as I look forward to taking a recreational drug.
 
I got both doses of Pfizer. Felt kind of shit for about 12 hours about 24 hours after administration of the second dose. Diffuse muscle pain (flu like, not related to injection site) and general malaise. No temperature. It was worth it to not have to worry about it anymore.

I find it funny that some Bluelighters stuff their bodies with all sorts of drugs, God knows what drug adulterants, and alphabet-soup research chemicals that some Chinaman cooked up in an unregulated lab, but are anxious about getting the vaccine because there's not enough research done. Fucking LOL.

If no (or yes) feel free to reply why, or which vaccine you prefer. I like the moderna vaccine.

What most people don't know is that the vaccines (except for the chinese one) also get you high for weeks so I'd recommend everyone get one.

Just got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. I feel cheated though I definitely didn’t feel high lol

Yep. It's all because of your autoimmune system. If it's bonkers in one department chances are it's bonkers elsewhere too. Autoimmune system is chiefly responsible for anaphylaxis.

This is in Australia. I'm likely to be also eligible because I'm on disability. I don't know as I'd have to ask my GP whether or not I meet any eligibility criteria. I'm nervous about the vax, but no more nervous than when I get the flu shot. It's that 15 minutes where I wonder if I'll have a bad reaction. I have mild autoimmune issues but they're not likely to cause a major problem.

I have been following that, actually if you look at the stats, in one country, there are actually LESS cases of blood clots among vaccine recipients than non-recipients, and more in another. Overall the numbers are just about equal when taken as a whole. When you have huge groups of people receiving the vaccine, some of them will have health problems, and it doesn't mean that those health problems have anything to do with the vaccine. People get blood clots all the time. Overall, the per capita blood clots incidence is almost exactly equal in the general population as it is in the Astra-Zeneca vaccine recipients. It's understandable to be cautious and check it out, but those who have checked it out have determined there is no cause for alarm.

i feel like many people close to me are guilting me into getting one. But I don’t want it in all honesty. Quite frankly, I am young and healthy and don’t really fear covid.

I just trust my body’s own immune system to do a better job than a vaccine approved for emergency use. Im not some conspiracy theorist, I just have weighed the risks for myself and have decided I don’t want it.

i “trust in science” but good science needs lots of data and I’ll at least wait until we have more long term data
