Whitehouse website filled with pot queries

You guys are way too QUICK to jump the gun, here. Do you realize he has only been in office 2 months? If, yesterday, he went and said, "yes, we will be legalizing pot in the upcoming months", do you realize the uproar it would have generated from the Christian obsessed people in this country?

Yes, agreed, his reaction was sub-par when answering the question, but I really think he was pandering. And, yes, he has made a commitment to stopping raids on dispensaries, which is a huge step in the right direction. Though, I have heard there was one yesterday? It probably takes a little time until that law is in full swing.

I really think you guys need to give him a chance. I don't give 2 shits about any of our government officials, but it's wrong to be this judgemental, this quickly. He isn't going to save the world in a span of 2 months. If there is a continuous uproar over legalizing pot, or at least, decriminalizing it, something is bound to happen in the future.

Tomer

There is a difference between disagreeing politely and reasonably and being a close-minded, condescending dick. It does not matter how long he has been in office. It says what kind of person he is.

IVE FIGURED IT OUT, I NOW REALISE WHY HE RESPONDED THIS WAY.

Ok, this why he did it. You see i think Obama wants these virtual town hall meetings to be regular ok. Now what his peers in washington dont want is for Marijuana to come up as the top hot topic every single time, so he scoffed at it, ridiculed the people who voted, in an attempt to DRIVE THEM AWAY, SO THAT THIS ISNT THE HOT TOPIC IN THESE FUTURE VIRTUAL MEETINGS.

There is only one thing we can do: PERSIST, KEEP VOTING, KEEP SUBMITTING, IF THIS IS THE MAJOR VOTED TOPIC AT EVERY VIRTUAL TOWN HALL MEETING - THEN THE MESSAGE WILL GET ACROSS.

Lol, the government's been trying to hush us up for 80 years and the push for decriminalization (and legalization) is stronger now than ever. There's no way a scoff is going to make us back down.

And if he thinks that then he's a dumbass and a phony.

ignore that off-brand july 4th marijuana march. That's never going to happen. It wouldnt make any sense to do that on july 4th because thats the same day that a million or so people goto The Mall to watch the fireworks. Also July in DC is brutal.

4/20 is the date every year, and this year is going to be oh so sweet.

I think there was one flaw in the way the questions were asked though, and given the length limit, I can certainly see how this would happen. The debate should be about freedom and sanity. Marijuana prohibition is just a symptom of the larger problem. The federal government needs to abide by the laws and regulations set for itself. If the governing body is not accountable to laws, why should anyone else be?

Why is anyone surprised? He's a politican. People think that just because he's black that he'll be different, and during the campaign all he had to do was repeat "change" and "freedom" enough times that people followed him like sheep. Most people are too stupid and easily manipulated for democracy to work, because we'll just vote for whoever spent more on TV commercials and has better catch phrases. The fact that a few thousand people have so much power over millions(or billions because our government thinks were better than everyone else and can't leave any other nation alone) is ridiculous. Obama isn't the problem, nor Bush, or any other politician, it's the entire way our society is structure that's the problem.

It's really not okay that he thought it was funny, or that he accepted the audience's laughter

Can't believe he got applause for saying that shit. The war on drugs is not funny.

Obama IS like every other politician... except maybe worse. He's a complete pawn for the Federal Reserve and Wall Street. He's the talking head that pacifies the people while all the other moles in his administration do the dirty work behind the scenes. He's incredibly charismatic and speaks to the people of the country as if he's really fighting for them - his whole purpose is to suavely skirt around issues. All his promises and inspiring rhetoric is just that - rhetoric, nothing but empty words meant to cover up what's really going on.

They won't legalize marijuana, because Washington is controlled by lobbies and robber barons, and the oil and lumber lobbies are some of the biggest which want nothing more than to keep hemp away from their industries.

The world's an ugly place.

unfortunately I have to agree with these words. I hoped he'd be different. If the gov't started telling people the truth about what they are really doing there would be an fn civil war.

How do you propose we get outta this sick pattern? You stated the obvious, do you have any solutions? There is no freedom and when stepping outta line we risk jail or homelessness. IT's like a cycle that will never end. Hail to your king, the US gov't.

Winston Churchill said:
Many forms of Government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.

And this because vB requires more than just a quote.

I explained it to people on many sites including Bluelight that obama was in the same pockets as bush & gonna walk their naive sheep tool asses right off a cliff & they didnt wanna hear it. So i do send love, light & forgiveness but theirs this slightly cynical part of me that kinda would rather them to learn the hard way for themselves.. Go fight in obama's engineered war or join the bergade to possibly gamble with your life over some rich dudes oil and the USA"s desire to sell heroin to our own people. better yet go along with the plan for a ONE WORLD GOV. none of us would* probably make it out and their for be able to reproduce & leave under intelligent, back boneless off spring for earth to deal with in the future. Yeaaahh ii know this sounds fucked up but grow a fucking back bone & Dont vote for someone based on color or due to the belief youll receive special biest due to something as tribal as race. (rolls eyes) ANy idiot could have read what the dude was about instead of jumping on the change band wagon and seen he represented anything but. Seriously america its time to wake up and get your asses on track. Get the banking/wall street crowd out of USA Gov. I fell victim to the bush jr.'s first campaigns brain washing when i was liike 10 & told my parents 2 vote for him but i defiantly learned since the USA gov is great at what it does, especially brainwashing & propaganda. So again your no less of a person but please learn from the experience & do research before you blinding follow something based on appearance & smooth talking. *edited

Agreed but they both knew the outcome from the beginning & are both members of the council of foreign relations. Anyone in their right mind would choose obama over McCain and they were fully aware of that but they are both owned by the same people, members of the same club & puppets for the same powers.
