Obama is turning out to be like every other politician

Obama IS like every other politician... except maybe worse. He's a complete pawn for the Federal Reserve and Wall Street. He's the talking head that pacifies the people while all the other moles in his administration do the dirty work behind the scenes. He's incredibly charismatic and speaks to the people of the country as if he's really fighting for them - his whole purpose is to suavely skirt around issues. All his promises and inspiring rhetoric is just that - rhetoric, nothing but empty words meant to cover up what's really going on.

They won't legalize marijuana, because Washington is controlled by lobbies and robber barons, and the oil and lumber lobbies are some of the biggest which want nothing more than to keep hemp away from their industries.

The world's an ugly place.

wow nice clip on you tube. Fuck. you. you. doush.

It just makes me mad that somebody who regularly smoked weed and did blow multiple times could laugh at legalization. Of all people a community organizer from Chicago should know the drastic negative effect that the war on drugs has. I'm sure he wouldn't agree that he should be a convicted felon like me even though we both made mistakes when we were young. He's a two face bastard that showed extreme amounts of arrogance and elitism in his simple answer to the question. Last note is he should of given an in depth answer to his reasoning like he did with every other topic to just shrug off the 14 million Americans that have blazed in the last month is wrong as we are a considerable portion of the population.

Its pretty offensive that he's ignoring 44 Billion dollars wasted every year, along with another 33 Billion in potential tax revenue

So out of over 104,000 total questions asked by almost 93,000 people who cast over 3.6 million votes one extremely focused issue dominates the top spots. Of the top 0.11% of questions 12.7% of those are about marijuana or complete re-tooling of drug policy. I can't tabulate the stats on total questions, obviously, but no other issue at all this focused has even 2% at the top. And he treats this question like its ridiculous. 77 Billion dollars even sounds like a lot in the 100's of billions bailout days. There were a lot of questions about failed drug policy, which even Hillary Clinton acknowledged today, near the top as well. Wasting money on ineffective policy should be taken more seriously

Wow obama is a jackass i cant believe he laughs at the people just like all the other asshole presidents this country is fucked thats all i have to say noone will be able to save it soon along with the others we will most likely have a worl-wide depression cause of not making drugs legal

Sometimes I wonder if our plan is to use up ALL of our natural resources then synthesize new ones, just so the oil companies can make every cent they can and be forced to put ourselves at the forefront of a scientific revolution before we are actually prepared to take care of all the toxic waste.

Wait...that is what we are doing.

I feel like a fool for believing that Obama actually knew what many uses hemp has, I mean every fucking pothead knows, right? Or does inhaling frequently not make for a pothead...

This is absolutely true. Even though oil has already or will soon peak, and therefore will be running out, there are still trillions of dollars to be made under the ground, so yeah, they're in no hurry to kiss their golden ticket goodbye.

...To say nothing of all the money the subsequent resource wars will make as well.

This draws parallels to civil rights. Politicians didn't stand up to laws as the people that would benefit(blacks) couldn't vote. With the amount of drug users that can't vote it's suicide to stand up for them as they can't vote. Then it was cause people couldn't pass literacy tests now it cause many are felons.... It's almost as if they planned it to be this way.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Barack Obama is a farce.

His "change" campaign was a lie. And if you don't believe me, I ask you this: have you ever lied or exaggerated the truth during a job interview? ;)

this is the best post i have ever read

You guys are way too QUICK to jump the gun, here. Do you realize he has only been in office 2 months? If, yesterday, he went and said, "yes, we will be legalizing pot in the upcoming months", do you realize the uproar it would have generated from the Christian obsessed people in this country?

Yes, agreed, his reaction was sub-par when answering the question, but I really think he was pandering. And, yes, he has made a commitment to stopping raids on dispensaries, which is a huge step in the right direction. Though, I have heard there was one yesterday? It probably takes a little time until that law is in full swing.

I really think you guys need to give him a chance. I don't give 2 shits about any of our government officials, but it's wrong to be this judgemental, this quickly. He isn't going to save the world in a span of 2 months. If there is a continuous uproar over legalizing pot, or at least, decriminalizing it, something is bound to happen in the future.
