Obama's virtual town hall meeting, scheduled to take place at 11:30am EDT, or in about an hour gave Americans a chance to post questions, and vote on other's questions to the president in several categories. The president has stated he will answer some of the most popular questions. Of the 10 most popular questions in the eleven categories, 5 contain at least one question regarding marijuana legalization and or the failing war on drugs.

In the budget thread the 7 most popular questions are about in regards to marijuana and failed drug policy.

4 of 10 in financial stability, including the top spot

2 of the top 10 in Jobs, including the top spot

Only one in Green jobs and energy, but its got the top spot

Obama isn't progressive enough to legalize even though every question is about how little money we have or industy is failing what's next. I hope there will be an up roar in congress that way he won't have to go out on the issue alone.
 
Yeah, he totally misrepresented the majority of the questions near the top. A lot of them were about not wasting billions of dollars a year on the drug war and taxing marijuana as a new source of revenue, not that weed is gonna magically fix the economy, like he implied. There were also a lot of good questions about the hemp industry that he ignored.

Even Hillary Clinton said today that the drug war is failed policy while talking to people in Mexico regarding border violence.

It doesn't surprise me that Obama skirted around a question that he admitted was one of the most popular topics presented to him.
I'm starting to feel that he's being too cautious about doing the right thing and is catering to the opinions of congress and a majority of the media because he is a black man as president. Which doesn't make sense because he got his support and was elected because the country was willing to stand behind him and support him.
There's plenty more I could say about what I think of him right now but it's just informed opinions, I do hope I am wrong and he straightens up.

I am pissed though that he laughed at tens of millions of people....(basically.)

edit: well it does make sense ... he's a politician.
 
I can't believe he did that, at every turn he seems to make pot smokers feel like they wasted their vote on him. One minute it seems like hes gonna legalize it, then he turns around and does the exact opposite. I doubt he's gonna keep his promise about stopping the raids on medical mj patients and dispensaries. Obama is turning out to be like every other politician
 
You guys do realize he's only been in office for two months, right? So far Obama has stopped raids on Medical MJ patients and dispensaries which gave states a huge opportunity to create new and improved laws in favor of mj. That sounds like some progressive shit right their.

Just think about how things would be if McCain was elected...shutter...

But do you really think any president is going to touch such a taboo topic like marijuana. The only one with balls that actually did was Carter and look what happened to him.
