White, yellowish substance sold as opium

looks like tiny white crystals with a yellowish tint, solid but crumbles into a grainy, salt resembling form. when burned it melts and forms liquid "pools." i know there's no such thing as white opium (according to erowid anyway), and that most people report feeling differences after smoking bunk shit like "red rocks" along with herb, but i puffed this with trees and felt notably different, it was a pronounced altering of the high the bud i have has been providing, it made me feel more stoned (i know this sounds typical), any guesses?

when i smoked it sandwiched with greens i guess it tasted a bit chemy...however i have a horrible sense of taste/smell, i have difficulty identifying something that may even be familiar...the "rocks" and granules on their own seem to have no scent, i forgot to mention that they look translucent

it might be crack. someone where i live was selling crack as "white rock opium". as far as i know there is no such thing as white or yellow opium. my friend that smoked it got a blister in his mouth, and the taste stayed with him for a couple of days. but dont worry, crack isnt really as bad as people make it out to be, just know when to stop.

about 15 years ago in Cali, at a Dead show, i was sold a substance fitting the same description as "crystalline opium"
never knew whether i got ripped off or not - it tasted sweet, but since we were tripping on black pyramid gels and smoking thai bud the whole time, it was hard to separate the effects

ive had this before, their was a lot of it a few years ago... i also remember it did have a "high" to it (i smoked it by itself on foil & a straw)... but the high wasnt good and it didnt last long, im not sure what it was (it wasnt crack) but im damn sure its not opium

It's fake. I have come across the same shit as well. I smoked it with KB and thought I was higher. Then I smoked it alone a felt nothing. Real opium is black tar. To the best of my knowledge there is no red rock or white rock opium.
BTW in July's issue of High Times there is a picture of a bud and red rock opium in the table of contents. Red rock opium is fake too but the editors at high times seem to think it is real. Proves what they know about the counter culture.
Most of you guys said you smoked weed with it. That is why you thought you got high off it. Placebo effect got the better of you. try it without weed when you have not done any other drug for 12 hours.
