White Holes.

I heard ideas being thrown around that our universe is a white hole, which was brought up because our universe has a singularity fundamentally opposite a black hole's singularity.

Where in a black hole the singularity is an inevitability where all paths lead to it due to inescapable gravity at the event horizon, in our universe all paths lead away from the singularity (t=0) due to the expansion of space from so-called dark energy(which is just vacuum energy).

It's compelling because they are opposite fundamentally and use opposite mechanics(gravity being able to resist the expansion on large scales at least for now).
