Regarding the health benefits of Cannabinoids and NOT psychoactivity, which method is preferable for optimum bioavailability of both THCA, CBD, et. all, if one does not have access to leaves.

My limited understanding is that an ethanol tincture (to be used sublingually) extracts the CBD and would not contain THCA? An alternative is eating ground up bud raw, in a capsule. How do these methods compare in terms of their effectiveness?

we don't SWIM here.

there's not going to be much difference between the various solvent extractions and consuming weed "whole", except that of course consuming cannabinoids in solution will be way higher bioavailibility than undissolved.

the difference in polarity of the various cannabinoids is so minimal that you're not going to selectively only dissolve one with any particular solvent. ethanol will dissolve THCA, but also THC, THCV, CBD, CBDA, THCVA, etc etc etc etc.

to the best of my knowledge there is no way to effectively seperate THC and CBD with a home chemistry setup. I also know CBD will cyclize to THC under acidic conditions...

Thanks for the info, that's good news in support of the tincture then. So dissolving the weed increases bioavailability?

I would say the corollary: if you don't get it into a liquid or edible fat, THC won't get effectively absorbed (it's not water soluble, and your gut is pretty wet)
