Ok so a family friend of my parents who has been wanting to speak to me for a long time, has got a doctor to prescribe me a few things. First of all this family friend of my parents has been wanting to "help" me since he heard from my parents that i've been acting out etc a few years ago, and because he is real religious he wanted to see if he could help me as he has done with many other young people with all sorts of problems. He told me he knows a lot of doctors etc, and although he is not a fan of getting me medication (since he believes prayer and other religious activities will heal problems) i finally convinced him to get a doctor who is not even from this country but is visiting from our home country egypt to prescribe me two medications. First off i wrote to this family friend of my parents a huge page on everything i've been through and how depressed i usually am etc (which is true). Than after constant persistence i agreed to try what he wants me to which is some religious things and only with the combination of the medication i listed. Those medications are oxycodone 10mg, and ativan 2mg. Surprisingly when i spoke to the doctor who is prescribing these over the phone i was surprised that he didn't say anything about them being addicting or any other lecture. Likewise i didn't think a doctor from another country would be able to prescribe them who is visiting here, especially since he didn't even see me in person because their in another state.

Either way i keep rambling, so i wanted these 2 prescribed for a few reasons. First off i'm going through a very difficult stage in my life and have been for almost 6 months now because of a move to a city i hate, and everything i don't have anymore because of the move. (part time job, FRIENDS, etc). I am just trying to get through the 1 1/2 year before i can transfer to a university to another city. Been sober for the most part as i don't have connections, money, etc. I get by day to day severe depression and anxiety which i'm already on medication for (dumb doctors get you hooked on medications that dont work). I feel like by being able to take an oxycodone 10mg no more than 2x a week, same with the ativan will allow me to feel "better" and not so moody/shitty. In the past like a few years ago, i remember i went to see several doctors in one week and manipulated/lied to get 3 prescriptions which i still don't know how i got because it would never work now. I had oxycodone 20mg, adderall 30mg, and valium 10mg. Surprisingly i DID make them last me over a few months, and stuck to my plain of occassionally taking them. I don't have any desire to binge or take them daily because they lose their effect and it makes you feel worse in the end. Since i've staved off any addiction i'm not worried. But believing that i can keep these new meds to a limit and control myself like i have done for the most part in my life, what kind of doctor would be the kind to go to, for another supply of oxycodone 10mg and ativan 2mg (since i'll have the prescription bottles to show proof). I'm sure if i try hard enough i could get the ativan refilled because of bad anxiety etc, but what about the oxycodone? I think i'm gonna try the neurologist, because i see a dumb psychiatrist only to keep me on the meds i'm on right now even though they help tiny bit. But i don't think i wanna go to a general doctor etc because they likely don't like prescribing or represcribing things like oxycodone, and sometimes even benzos. I want to make them both last me 3 months, and if i can do that i think i deserve the reward of having them re prescribed. Anywho i'm sorry for this super long post (my anxiety tends to make ramble when it comes to typing) In simple what doctor besides a psychiatrist would be likely to re prescribe these two meds? I'm not looking to "binge" or take them everyday etc, if that ends up happening i promise i'll mention it on here.

It's like asking should i see a psychiatrist or a physician, i'm already having them sent in the mail so i'll already "have" the drugs, i just wanted to see what kind of doctor deals with these kinds of prescriptions. I can't stand when people who abuse drugs and have posts about them and have the nerves to not be able to answer a simple question.

You asked "what doctor would be likely to re prescribe these two meds?" It's not like you're asking what type/speciality of doctor would be best for a specific health problem, (you don't really have any choices aside from a psychiatrist or GP anyway), you just want a doctor that is likely to prescribe you exactly what you want. We are not here to help with that. And even if we were I personally think only a terrible doctor would prescribe a teenager oxycodone and ativan for situational depression and anxiety.

Closed. Please PM me if you have any questions.
