What are the main differences between 2, ex and zero? I know that 3 has a completely different character set, but the others?

I voted for good ol' Super Street Fighter II.

sf2 has the good ol sprites
sf ex were dodgy 3d graphics with funky non capcom characters
sf alpha were more cartoon like.

although SFIV is really reinvigorating my love for fighters.

Mainly because I had it on SNES and so it's the title I am the most attached to.

I was pretty young when I used to play it. I do remember actually finishing the game for a couple of the characters. I think I had a massive head ache afterwards. Video games are hard work.

I liked this on the SNES. But there was something about going to the arcade when I was younger. There was always a big group surrounding this game. My older brother would always beat me though. Fucking Haiyoken.

Street Fighter II Turbo all the way, I'm proud to see that this is clearly a forum for those who dined on a steady diet of SNES in their youth.

I remember pissing my brother off no end, just getting E-Honda (the sumo dude?) and doing the lightning chop shit on full speed, he could barely touch me.

I picked Marvel vs Capcom 2 only because its the best fighting game ever IMO. I'm not sure if I would consider it a Street Fighter video game tho.

SF2 and its many incarnations caused many hours of shit talking back in the day. My favorite game was marvel vs. Street fighter though. Ken and gambit, its over.
