Conversation wise, yes, you are correct. Acting wise, it was like banging your ahead against cement. They were all so dull, zombie like, it was hard for me to watch. I understood why he chose actual kids, but it just didn't work for me.
 
I'm going to echo all the negative sentiments toward Elephant. I thought it was downright awful.
 
Good Will Hunting, even though I don't really consider it a Gus Van Sant film.

I can't believe elephant is getting votes. Then again, it also won the palme d'or, but I guess I let that slide because it's the fucking french.
 
I thought Elephant was OK but prefered Paranoid Park and I think that's all I've seen from Van Sant. Looking forward to seeing Milk.
