I have never been addicted to any drug (and ive done everything) and I also have never been addicted to alcohol.
However I have taken numerous anti depressants all of which havent helped and I have finally figured out that all I need to do to be happy is run every morning, meditate and eat healthy.

However because I am a sociopath I find it very difficult to fulfill my sexual desires, I do not masturbate so I still suffer depression when it comes to the weekend (because the weekend is when everyone usually gets drunk/high/ have sex etc).... and theres me sober feeling very alienated and bored

so to sociallise with my friends i feel the need to indulge in either methadone (which i get from a opiate addict for very cheap price) or alcohol.

I allow myself to get high or drunk just 1 day a week (friday or saturday). Whenever i take methadone the next day i feel better about myself because i have had a good day previously.

Whenever i have drunk alcohol though i usually feel worse the next day even if i had a great time the previous day.

Now i want to know which substance you think is worse overall for your body (brain, liver, skin, etc).... methadone or alcohol?

As for people trying to notify me on addiction potential this is not a problem what so ever and one which i do not want to discuss as the question isnt about addiction potential, just damage/harm to the body/mind.

many regards, Bighooter.

First individual susceptibility to problems from various drugs is way different from one person to the next, my shoot from the hip answer you get is going to assume an average person using in an average to slightly over indulging way.

My guess is that on average alcohol would do more damage. At one day a week though I'm not sure either is all that bad. Moderate drinking has some health benefits like decreasing arteriosclerosis but disadvantages like depleting minerals and water soluble vitamins. I'd say the decider ought to be to go with the one that gives you the most pleasure if you are going to be able to keep it to once a week. Beyond that alcohol is more dangerous to kick if it became a constant use thing for an extended period, methadone is far more painful to kick and would require a shorter spree to get a dependency going on.

If health anxiety about either one creates a net negative experience about either one I think that would be ample reason for me to forgo them all together. Which one do you think is the greatest plus to your enjoyment and well being?

I would say ALCOHOL is worse on your body. Now Methadone carries a possiblity of overdosing, you;re probably more likely to get hooked on it too. Alsol the %% can be watered.

as for addiction both are as bad, opiate addiction is more soul distroying alcohol is more harmful and requires more medical care, but opiates are more smash in some windows to fund ye' habit.

Alcohol hands down. In the grand scheme of things opiates and a majority of opiods are very easy on the body and won't cause any ill health effects. Alcohol will wrack havoc on your body though long term and even short term. It's poison.
