Which drugs have most/ least effect on the immune system

While any input would be much appreciated, I am more specifically thinking about my current sore throat that comes with a slight achy feeling and a slight temperature. My main choices I need more info to decide about are, few bumps of k (or a low dose of dmx) vs weed while chilling (usually its either smoked with a herbal smoking mixture, or with tobacco if someone else has rolled, but occasionally get to use a vape when I'm at a mates house). I know k impairs the immune system to some degree and smoking will be bad, especially since its a throat infection, not sure about vape though, its still quite harsh. Another dilemma is for a night clubbing would it be less bad for my immune system to take a lowish dose of a psychedelic (2c-b, 2c-i, 4-aco dmt, or AMT) or have a reasonably heavy night taking k (about half a g for me). Also would having literally one or two beers have any effect on the immune system?

I would say don't use drugs while sick, vaping weed seems the most reasonable though. I always snort something or smoke something while sick and it makes it worse pretty much every time.

Definitely best not to, but I've just finished exams a few days ago and want to celebrate lol. Think it was the last 3 exams being 3 days in a row with lots of cramming that stressed me out and fucked my immune system. I went out last night and had about a quarter g of k and left before the final destination of the night and ended up meditating for an hour and a half before bed instead (I'm a real party animal lol). Luckily woke up today feeling quite a bit better, although I'm sure I would have recovered even fasted if i had stayed sober the whole night. Definitely going to use the vape rather than anything else when I have the chance.

Not sleeping and being in close proximity to dozens if not hundreds of viral infestations (ie. Clubbing) is probably much harder on your immune system than any recreationally used drug.

I think the not sleeping plays a massive part. While the close proximity thing makes sense, I once seemed to pretty much cure the end of a sore throat on a night out clubbing on amt, it was a small club with no cloakroom and I have a really thick coat that has a detachable fleece on the inside so i think I may have killed it off with heat like a fever. The next day I woke up feeling less drained than I had the previous day lol. Goes without saying my recovery might have been "in spite of" not "because of" my night. Also overheating on AMT is probably more neurotoxic since overheating on MDMA is.

overheating is effectively 'poaching' your brain in its own juices and id have thought would be toxic on any drug, not just stims.
If i had to make a choice based on your list above...i would go with one of the psychedelics. one that you can take orally as smoking and snorting will just aggravate already tender membranes. I dont think a couple of beers will make much difference either way but remember, a key part of recovery is sleep so stims arent the way to go.

Sleeping is mandatory.
Everything else will just make things worse or prolong the agony.

It is that simple.

The drugs themselves probably have less effects on the immune system than your lifestyle does.

Cannabis is apparently immunomoduatory through CB2 receptor agonism - I have heard it suppresses the activity of immune cells temporarily, so perhaps not the best thing to be getting super stoned while sick. Cannabis use (esp. smoked) is associated with an increase in frequency of respiratory tract infectons. Many people report that it helps the mmore generalised symptoms of sickness (malaise, insomnia, aches and pains) though, and in practice I don't think the effect size is very large. The occasional vape hit while sick is probably nothing to worry about.

Compounds related to ketamine are actually antivirals. (deschloroketamine is). Where did you hear it's an immunosuppresant?

Alcohol, psychedelics, opioids, benzos are all non-immunoreactive (in most). So are most "club drugs". the stimulants and some of the "stronger" psychedelics are pretty heavy stressors though,

More importantly, physical, mental, and emotional stress on your body are major factors in recovering from illness. Don't go out and take drugs and party if you want to recover from sickness. Stay isolated and try to do low-energy stuff until you are fully recovered. You also run the risk of feeling super lame if you take a psychedelic while sick... remember, they amplify sensations quite reliably, so your sore throat may drive you absolutely crazy.

Stick to weed and avoid the clubs fro a few days. Also, if you're smoking/vaping with friends, roll your own joint/spliff so as to avoid transmitting your throat infection to others.

I didnt know that drugs related to ketamine are anti-virals, that really interestings. I thought anti-virals were limited to a small family of closely related drugs.
Out of interest (i apologize for being a little off topic), does deschloroketamine retain the same effects as ketamine in addition to its anti-viral effects?

Apparently deschloroketamine does retain dissociative activity, but it is nowhere near as "pleasurable" as ketamine- it has a considerably longer duration and less hallucinogenic activity.

thanks for the replies, especially Sekio. I found a study once that found that patients administered ketamine a little while before surgery had reduced white blood cell activity (or something like that) compared to controls that were given the same drugs during surgery, I've also heard it on bluelight or another forum. I'm aware that stuff written on a forum, or shown in a study that might not generalise to a more normal situation, might not be true lol. if anyone has any more info that would be great :)

Like the others have said, I'd say that the lack of sleep and close proximity to people have a much worst effect on your immune system. At least in the short term... long term is a tougher one because there hasn't been many research done.
