whenever i snort heroin i cannot seem to get high

not sure if this is the right place to put this thread but I've snorted h about 3 different times, and all of it was quality stuff. but whenever i snort it i just don't get high at all. i don't know if I'm somehow doing something wrong or if theres a problem with me in general. I've searched the internet to see if anyone else has this problem and can't seem to find anything on it. i snort it just like anyone else would snort it, I was even advised to snort water afterwards to help it absorb once better by a friend and even that didn't seem to help.

does anyone have any "tips" or "pointers" as to what the problem could be?

any help would be greatly appreciated <3
 
It could be any number of reasons, what's your opioid/opiate use history like? Heroin is a street drug and varies widely in purity from batch to batch and from dealer to dealer, if you've got a tolerance for opiates already and the heroin is of low quality or is heavily cut...that could explain why you're not feeling anything.

Also, opioids aren't for everyone. Some people don't feel much, or what they do feel isn't what they expected to feel. A bit more info about your opioid experience might help us work out what the problem might be :)

There are some types of heroin that just don't work well snorted (here in the UK we get heroin freebase, which you can smoke easily but is a waste to snort) but I presume that isn't the case with you?
 
Are you snorting tar or powder? If its powder ten you could be snorting it too hard so that its all going down the back of your throat. Do you get an immediate drip? If the drip is immediate then you are wasting it. I suggest you plug it if that doesnt work then you know its just shitty dope. Now if you got tar I dont know how you would prepare it for snorting but im sure someone here does. answer those questions and we will be able to better guess at the issue.
 
Make sure your mucus membranes are working properly cause a dry nose won't absorb anything. I had a friend that used to swallow a teaspoon of hot sauce before snorting anything to make sure his mucus membranes were dilated and ready to go!
 
Worst Case Scenario: Around here it's pretty common for junkies who are turning people on to heroin to give them fake shit. This is especially true for people who snort it. There are plenty of variables that go along with insufflation that people could use to explain why you didn't get high off of the dope they gave you. I don't doubt your intelligence but it's important to make sure you're getting real shit, heroin addicts are a crafty bunch. This happened to me plenty of times when I was younger, and I'm embarrassed to say it took me a while to get wise. Let's just say I put quite a bit of nesquick up my nose in my younger years.
 
its powder not tar, I'm sure it is heroin. whenever i snort it i snort it fast, i don't recall if i get an immediate drip or not. idk could it be that my nose is too stuffy? i feel like even if i had a stuffy nose it would still absorb some.

my past with opiates is I've been using them since i was about 14. i have a tolerance with hydrocodone and percocet. not a huge one but a pretty big tolerance. I've only used heroin 3 times and every time I've snorted and I've just never felt anything really.
 
What dosage of oxycodone does it take to get you high? Also, how do you know that the heroin that you are getting is good?
 
If your tolerance is percs & vicodin, it seems to me that its either weak heroin or its fake.........do you know anyone else that has tried the same heroin you are doing?
 
yeah my boyfriend, his dealer everyone coming in the room and doing it, and the other time with my friend whose been doing heroin for a long time
 
I gotta snort like 7 good west side Chicago bags to feel shit you might have to just bang it or find a good source with raw btw u can snort tar by cutting it with dormin or Dramamine and when u snort do a bunch of like 70mg lines so you know it's not goin down ur throat
