When you guys test for pills, do you tests also reveal whether or not any....

Would your tests reveal if there were any speed or heroin in a pill? Do you actually test for that too?

Yes. With the Marquis reagent, speed yields a yellow/brownish color, and -I believe- heroin and other opiates turn red-purpleish.

Most opiates/opioids, including buprenorphine, turns to violet. Dextropropoxyphene turns to black-violet->green and naloxone brown->violet. Fentanyl and meperidine turns to orange.
