So I'm just past the 48 hour mark of kratom withdrawl and haven't slept at all. I may sound like a wuss compared to people who go for weeks without it like on methadone withdrawals but I really feel like I'm starting to freak out and it's almost like the symptoms are getting worse instead of better. I had a pretty hefty habit of 20-25 grams a day. Is this just how it is? Am I really looking at not sleeping for more nights?

Yea man taper it helps alot cuz if you want the truth im on two weeks of no sleep.and it fucking sux its def a big relapse trigger
I know i get cat naps thru out the.night cuz i remember short weird dreams but its.like five.or ten. Min at a time and not relaxing sleep at all
I do toss and turn less so i can see the improvment eventho i still cant sleep but evreyone is different most people i.know can sleep after a few days so if you want to try to tuff it out go another few days and see if you start getting alil sleep and if you do it will only get better from there

The sleeping part in withdrawal is the hardest. Sleep was the last thing to come back for me. It does get easier but the initial acute withdrawal is very tough. Good luck and keep us posted on progress. You can do this.

Shit! Really!? From kratom? Ive had tramadol withdrawal where I could sleep a bit on the second or third night. Tapering isn't an option I'm stuck at my parents house in germany with nothing. Dude they wouldn't even give me melatonin without a prescription

How do you even manage in such a state? Do you just zombie about? What about the things that need to get done? I have a five year old that is gonna wake up in a few hours and need to be cared for. I don't feel like I have the strength to climb the stairs?

Im finally starting to get some sleep at 3+ weeks clean it a rough road but well worth it.
I hope you are feeling better

May I ask how long you were using, and what your daily dose was? I've been using for a little while now and am wondering what I'm in for if I go cold turkey. Btw, did ya taper?

Ive bin using heroin for 12 years now
I started at 17 i am 29 now
My habit was as much money as i had at the time i had times when i had a 5 bun a day habit and times when i could only afford a bun a day
This time when i got off i was using only a bun a day but i was also taking methadone which i get prescribed and also xanax so it was a really brutal withdrawal this time around
I did not taper i went to detox for a few days and thats it i wouldnt consider that a taper
Im not sure what your doc and timeline is but if you want to share that with any questions you have i would be glad to try to answer them
Just so you know tho i get insomnia worse then anyone i have ever came in contact with so do not think to yourself that you wont sleep for 3 weeks that is not the case.

Thank you for your reply. You have been the only person to reply to any of my posts, and so I basically abandoned this site.

I hope that things have eased up for you, that sounds pretty rough.
It seems that you have experienced much tougher circumstances than I can personally relate to.
My experience with Kratom: (splash in a little 45mg Oxy but nothing too chronic)
After 5-6 weeks of daily use (2-3x daily); I took 4-5 days off, and experienced typical W/D symptoms. I then returned to Kratom because I seemed back at baseline (probably wasn't, probably shouldn't have)
Symptoms:
- RLS and sleep disturbance for 2-3 days (easy enough to control as I am chronically prescribed K-pins 2-3mg daily)
- Anxiety (again K-pins)
- Lethargy - No fucking energy, bored, unmotivated (difficult)
- Depression - Commonly the unique Kratom special (most difficult)
The worst med experience I've been through was a few weeks on/off Oxy, then to a few weeks on/off Fetanyl, mixed with some Addy binges, and then off. That was not fun.
Today is my 33rd Birthday and tomorrow I return to Kratom W/D (2 months or so of total use, with only one break)
If you see this post;
any tips about combating the fatigue? Maybe a good stimulant sold at head shops? I/d/k
any tips regarding depression? (I already work out a shit load and am very active)

Thank you, and best I wish you the best of luck

Hey shatter did you try making your own thread im sure you will fet more responses that way
You are very lucky that you have only bin using a couple months
I remember the first time i went to detox after like 6 months of using heroin and i remember feeling like a champ after a week
You just gotta tuff it out for a week or two max and you should be back.to normal
I woulda suggested excercise but you allready do that
I think my healthy eating habitd also help alot
I eat organic fruits and vegetables all day i only drink water and hardly eat junk food
Aldo i work crazy hours eventho i dont like my job it does help me stay clean
I dont think ive ever stayed clean this long outside of rehab or court mandation
I dont know much about stimulants since i dont like uppers but if you think it will help you stay off the opiated i guess you can try it for a short span
Best of luck to you man if you.have more questions please ask also make your own thread either in dark side or sober living

That's awesome that you've been able to stay clean man. Congrats. Yeah I'm 48 hours in and admittadley, this is pretty damn easy. Just some fatigue, yawning and burning legs. The problem with kratom is it's just too easy to obtain, it's inexpensive, and 'relatively' harmless compared to other drugs. So I find it easy to go back to it after taking like 4 days off (thinking like; 'I just made it through withdrawal and it was pretty easy, I'm gonna buy a treat!'). And so ya just keep adding the fuel to the fire. Thanks for the info regarding where to create threads. I didn't know where to put em, but now I do. Sounds like you've been through a lot, and to be clean now is a huge accomplishment. That's awesome

How you doing shatter?
You should start posting in the March sober thread in sober living there's lots of support there
I post there daily and it helps me a lot
I hope all is well with you ;)

Unfortunately I found myself enjoying kratom once again. Although my use has decreased dramatically and there are many days when I do not consume anything. So overall I'm currently looking at about 2 months overall use, with breaks (I imagine some would think such a habit to be rather weak). Overall I am doing rather well. Withdrawals have seemed pretty easy thusfar (it's after 4-5 day breaks that I find myself enduldging again.) I'm not using anything over the next 4 or more days, beginning today, so I checked the forum! Good advice on the sober living forum : )
