After removal of the Transdermal clonidine patch , therapeutic levels persist for approximately 8 h and decline slowly over several days. the half life is about 15 hours. Upon applying of the patch, it takes up to 3 days for it to take effect.

my cat asked me if I was going to apply the new patch one day prior to removing the old patch so it could kick in on time. she meowed it. I told her the vet said to apply a new patch during the same time I remove the old one. has anyone's cat experienced the best timing of when to replace the patch.

She will be reducing from 0.2 patches to 0.1 during this next replacement.
