when is "Desoxyn"(dextromethamphetamine) perscribed?

i have adhd, and am currently on adderall. it's alright, but i'm curious about desoxyn(d-methamphetamine).

i've never met anybody who has been rx'ed it. is it perscribed in the u.s.? what would it take to convince your doc to perscribe it?
 
You'll probably get some heat for asking that question, but it's generally prescribed for people who have very severe ADD and can't handle any other medication due to side effects.

Still, it is very rarely prescribed, and if you think you can trick your doctor into prescribing you meth, well, good luck man...8)
