Megathread What's the worst movie you've ever seen?

come on! the doom generation has perry farrel selling things for $6.66. it can't be the worst movie :)

maybe "in the room"
i walked out before the half hour mark

It's a tie between Highlander 2 and Manos: The Hands of Fate.

There are basically two kinds of bad movies. Ones that were made with plenty of money, and ones that were made with no money at all. Highlander 2 is the ultimate example of the former, and Manos is the ultimate example of the latter.

Matrix: Revolutions and Battlefield Earth warrant dishonorable mentions.

A.I. - saw it in the theater, almost walked out several times, but I kept thinking it was going to end. It didn't.

The Pest

The Island of Dr. Moreau - the one made in the early 90's with Val Kilmer

Pumpkinhead - I had this get overly hyped and it was quite horrible

The worst movie I've ever seen is:

It's so bad but I kinda wanted to like it because it's so OTT. Except I could never watch it all the way through. It's painful to say the least. But what more can we expect from a Troma movie?

Ah yeah, that was really bad. I only watched it bacause Fairuza Balk was in it %)

well there are so many obvious ones. i was shocked though at how bad ladder 49 was. incredibly dull

i also watched dumb and dumberer (the second one, not the original, which was gold) recently and was entertained at just how bad it was.

one more...evil alien conquerors. oh my freaking god is this awful.

(and ditto on the fairuza balk love, she is hot)

Dishonorable Mention:

Superstar.

The Coneheads.

My Stepmother is an Alien.

Weekend at Bernie's 2.

Alien Resurrection--the movie that killed the franchise for me. AVP was only marginally better.

Existenz- it was an incomprehendable piece of shit, I want those 90 minutes of my life back

Not far off the mark, egor. Definately that Batman movie with Arnie in it was a disgrace to the US dollar. Plan 9 from out space as shocking as is it is hilarious. Annoying teen high school movies like Jawbreaker definately fit in the lower tier of movie making.

I love Ai and i like existenz quite a bit.

my most hated of all films:

just looking atthat image i wanna kick my monitor

This movie had potential and yet,it severely pissed me off. Among the things that made me wish career death to all of those involved(except for Tony Shaloub):

1:Matthew Lillard's gay porn grunts and moans every time he had one of his seziures. Saliva all over the place. Gross as hell!

2:That stupid little boy and his sickening, ain't I just adorable, lisp. Thank God,that was the last movie he ever made, according to IMDB.

3:Shannon Elizabeth. WTF?! If not for her body, she would be so screwed in life. That scene, where she was in the bathroom washing her face in slow-mo and giggling like a schoolgirl, went on forever! I've never wanted to literally be there and slap the living shit out of an actress as bad as she made me want to right then and there.

4:The cliched' to death black housekeeper, puttin up wit all dos craaaaaazy white people. If the Exorcist had been made in this decade,it most likely would have had one of these in it. "I hope y'all ain't in here molestin Regan or I'm gonna hafta......Holy shit! What da fuck is this?! Y'all bust open a pinata full of pea soup in dis shitz? Das it. I can't take it no mo. Crazy bitch walkin down stairs like a spider. Head spinning. Bed floatin. I quit!" It's 2007. Can Hollywood have enough respect for black people and give them more itelligent roles or is Morgan Freeman getting all of the decent scripts?

I could go on forever with things that aggravate me to no end about this movie, but those are most definitely the first that come to mind.

the goonies. (i know ALOT of people like this movie, but i think thats because they saw it when they were a kid and its still got that special place for them or something. i however saw it my senior year of high school for the first time. i wish i could get that time back)

that master p movie about the phone. i dont know what it was called.

i hated pitch black too. :|

House of the Dead and House of the Dead 2.

The director, Uwe Boll, takes cult video games and turns them into complete, utter, contrived horse shit. If you've ever seen any of his other films, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I seriously don't see how anyone can watch these movies from beginning to end and say to themselves, "Hey yeah, that all makes sense." On the other hand, I have a certain fondness for horror movies that are such miserable, pisspoor attempts at film, that in turn, they are hilarious. This is why I own both of the films: for when I need a good laugh with friends.

Day of the dead 2 was the worst zombie(sort of anyway) movie that I have seeen, and I think I have seen most if not all of them

I agree with Congo. Also, Mission Impossible 2 was really dreadful. Face/Off and Pearl Harbor get honourable mentions.

Oh yes indeed. My current number one pick goes to Pitch Black, the Vin Diesel film that came before Chronicles of Riddick. How the hell they decided to make a sequel I will never understand....

One time, this clerk at a video rental place spent like 5 minutes talk down to me for preferring alien 3 to Resurrection.

It left me shaken that somebody who fancies himself a movie nerd could hold such an opinion.

Haha, you nailed those reasons. The little kid especially pissed me off so much during that movie.

What didn't you like about Face/Off Banquo? I thought the acting was good especially since Travolta and Cage had to play the bad guy and good guy. Castor Troy was a BA bad guy too.

if a movie was designed to be entertaining for six year olds but no one else, and then only six year olds like it, does that make it a bad movie? cause half the movies mentioned here were destined for the mass audience.

its for this reason that one movie stands out above all others. Armageddon was meant to be for the masses, but it was also designed to latch onto the then popular idea that america would save the world. by the end of the movie all i wanted to see was a meteorite wipe out the wedding party.
