Using for opioid withdrawal but IDK how much is too much or what (positive or negative) effects can happen?
Had 4,200mg so far over the past couple hours?

1.200mg is all I've ever taken. Anything past that gives me extreme vertigo, nausea & dizziness. I dunno how people handle such large doses of the stuff.

From my experience, yes you can plug it. It works by absorbing through your intestinal tract through a certain pump (sorry I'm not more articulate at the moment). And technically, your colon is a part of your intestinal tract, so it should still contain that pump action needed to push gabapentin into the blood. And I know from my own experience that it works.

3.000 mg maybe more

To me it gives euphoria and in high doses you'll feel like drunk but cleaner maybe will sleep a bit. Very useful for opiate WD.

It can help with anxiety, restlessness, muscle aches, sleep (less so but to some extent).

just be aware that your body has a max amount it can absorb of gabapentin before your LAT1 gets saturated, the more you take effectively the lower the bioavailability drops, so that when you're up to 3.5g bioavailability is something like 33%.

don't waste your drugs taking more gabapentin at that point imho...

if you're not getting what you need at 4g you could maybe consider a swap to pregabalin with/without something else, it depends what withdrawal symptoms you're trying to tackle by taking gabapentin in the 1st place? maybe something else could be more effective, depends where you're at....sorry I don't know enough about opioid withdrawal to best advise, just what I've picked up in passing

IIRC 3600mg gabapentin is about the same as 600mg of pregabalin, you can push pregab much higher though because it doesn't have the same LAT1 constraint, just be careful because tolerance ramps fast with it, if you take it daily starting at 600mg with no tolerance after a week you'll need ~800-900mg for the same effect....

and keep taking it daily for a few weeks and you're going to start bumping up into dependence and withdrawal issues.

pregab/gabapentin work very well with other gaba drugs so depending on your symptoms you might actually want a lower pregab/gab dosage alongside occasional other gaba drugs, something like soma or diazepam or kpin depending on what symptoms are driving you nuts - bare minimum amount to do the job

Can you plug Gabapentin??
not really, it's absorbed in the small intestine, just eat it.

I know you know what you're doing @ChemicallyEnhanced so this next line isn't aimed at you but for anyone else who's reading - there's a danger here of just swapping 1 addiction for another (or even multiple!), doing an opioid taper using gaba drugs to help for a short time is very different from going cold turkey from opioids and starting to abuse gaba drugs daily instead.....and there is CNS risk stacking gaba drugs (benzos especially) on opiods.

Ended up having 6000-7200mg* (honestly, I stopped counting 'cause I ran out of 300mg pills so just started taking handfulls of 100's) over like 5 hours (re-dosing every 30-45 mins). All withdrawal symptoms did go away...slept for 5 hours, woke up for 2-3, then had a 5 hour nap so can't complain.

Planning to do the same today...get my Morphine tomorrow morning.

Trying to get rid of any/all wd symptoms, really. Refuse to take any more lope (only took it once, on Monday, not even a lot, like 36mg in a unidose) as I haven't shitted in since Monday and I look second-trimester at this point.

*For the sake of HR, I DO NOT condone taking that much

Yeah, I was wrong here that it would work in the colon. It does seem limited to upper intestine.

It does absorb in the colon, but very small amounts. So you'd have to use a lot of gabapentin.

Maybe that's why it worked for me, cause the few times I plugged it, I just emptied a shit ton of capsules into the water.
And I get dizzy & nauseous just from 900-1,200mg. So it's possible I have some kind of sensitivity to it.

But ultimately, unless you have a shit to of gabapentin to use, rectal use is not really a good option.

@ChemicallyEnhanced : I forgot to mention stacking too. Stacking your doses (take 1 pill, wait an hour or two, take another, etc..) works better than taking it all at once. Cause like Placebonaut said, only so much gabapentin can absorbed at a time.

Oh, yes.
I take Gabapentin anyway (prescribed, and much less). I literally only take larger doses for 1-2 days before my Morphine script. Would be a very bad idea in the long-term.

Good to hear it helped!

Yeah, skip the lope if you can. My dumbass use to use lope. I'd drink tonic water, take omeprazole & then snort it.

I have a heart arrhythmia now. I can't say for sure the lope had anything to do with it, but it might've. I was mixing loperamide, ephedrine & DXM a lot, so it could've been the combinations or it could've just been the lope all by itself, since it seems pretty toxic to the heart.

So if you put Gabas in your butt they work better ? whats the deal? more info please..

It actually works less. It requires L-amino transpoters, which are mostly found in the small intestine.
There are some of these transporters in your colon though. It only worked for me because I was using high doses & am already sensitive to the effects of gabapentin, so even a little gabapentin entering my system, I can feel it in my brain (very subjective to explain).

But generally, no, it's not worth doing.

I remember taking several grams once, but that was a waste. Never really got much out of gabapentin. Maybe with no tolerance 1200mg feels alright nice little buzz for an hour then nothing.

What is the deal with Gaba? Why do people like it? In the states they give it out like candy. I have an RX of it.

Its all good no judgment here. If you have your reasons you have your reasons.

What does gaba "do" for you?
With no tolerance....
Anywhere between 600-1,000mg usually gives me a lot of energy & motivation to get shit done. Music sounds incredible on it. It use to make me kind of horny, similar to a stimulant but not as bad. Pain relief was OK, not as good as narcotics, but it complimented other narcotics well.

Of course, with daily use, these effects disappear pretty damn fast. And then it takes a really long time of not using any to get them back.

With tolerance....
It does nothing but make me lethargic, tired & some times incredibly dizzy & nauseous, especially at the higher doses. I can see how people can find it "addictive", but me personally, I can't stand doses higher than 600-900mg because of the vertigo/dizziness & nausea. It's like having the spins from alcohol or something.

1600mg but never again because it made me sluggish and nauseous. Now I just break the 800mg ones in half. But I gotta say, mixing 400mg with THC is amazing.
