Misc What's Likely To Happen if a None-Smoke Puts on a 21mg/day PT Nicorine Patch?

STUPID, I know.
But I get my opiates tomorrow and these benzo's are boring o their own :(
Will I get full-on sick of just a big giddy/high, nauseous and mildly stimulated?

I was wondering this myself. My first cigarette ever was about 5 weeks ago, at age 23, and I now smoke ~8 full-bodied cigs a day. It greatly helps with ADD symptoms especially with my scripted 20-30mg Norcos a day. I would consider going back to scripted Vyvanse/dex, as I didn't find it abusive and never abused it, rather I took less than was prescribed, it was just was discontinued by my pdoc because of situational anxiety stemming from legal problems.

I think opiates and dex are interchangeable as far as dopamine increase in the prefrontal cortex, but amphetamines are more psychologically addictive (you drag ass when you try to quit them, even at 10-20mg/day dex I was taking), but of course opiates are quite physically addictive, but I've stuck to oral opiates exclusive and only have gone up to PST on the opiate ladder, but I no longer use PST due to terrible side effects.

^I fucking like you. I don't know quite why, but I know it has something to do with your refined med regimen (as is mine, though not so much) and long, informed responses. That said, I smoked about fifteen cigs a day for a month and a half and I was lucky that the really tough dependence hadn't set in when I finally decided to wisen up and quit, cold turkey; please at least switch to nicotine. You won't regret this, I can 100% guarantee that.

I would recommend, if you're dead-set on using nicotine, whether for recreation or pleasure, starting with the 2mg gum. The patch isn't meant to provide any sort of buzz.

I was taking 50mg vyvanse (about 15-20mg dextroamphetamine) for several months with a day off per week, and for the last month or so no days off, then suddenly stopped; this is my second day off and I feel remarkably the same. But I know if I use opiates even once I won't feel alright for months. So I think mileage varies.

Curious: what side effects?

Wow, I barely remember starting this thread. I'm on methadone and forgot to half my benzo dose lol.

Nicotine works great for me. Use the 4 mg and only chew half, the 2mg is a waste of money because it costs the same.

So will it give me a buzz - say, caffeine like - or just make me sick?
Either way I've decided not to try.
I already need painkillers and anti-anxiety medication...no good adding another addiction.

I really wouldn't bother with it.. As someone who managed to quit smoking after a few years the trouble is not worth it. You literally get absolutely nothing out of a nicotine "high".. all the high can be attributed to is easing withdrawal pangs from lack of nicotine. As a comparison imagine getting high on an opiate and then experiencing withdrawals, you take enough to ease the withdrawals but you don't get high. That is all smoking cigarettes or e cigs or using patches does for you. No matter how much you smoke or intake (with a patch) you won't get high by any stretch. At best you'll manage a headrush, but you might as well just choke yourself out because its nearly the same thing, and even that headrush 'high' rapidly diminishes.

Im quite certain that the above poster talking about it helping with his ADD is largely experiencing psychosomatic symptoms and it is in no way related to the nicotine itself. Not to mention that he's already smoking 1/3 of a pack a day after having started 5 weeks ago. Hello full pack a day smoker in the next few months.

Trust me, it will do nothing for you, stop trying to find whatever you can find to get high. Also 21mg if I recall correctly is a LOT of nicotine.. as someone who smoked a pack a day, I believe even the 14mg patches had me feeling weird as hell, as if I were constantly hauling on multiple cigs at once. But the patches just didn't agree with me at all and I had to go cold turkey.

"Trust me, it will do nothing for you, stop trying to find whatever you can find to get high"

Um...I'm not. I have MST, OxyContin, oxycodone, promethazine, codeine, etizolam and alprazolam...why would I need to go looking for things?

I just found a couple of unused patches - ostensibly from the last time my brother tried to quit - and wondered if they had any recreational value.
Like I already said, I'm dependent on Sertraline (Zoloft), Lamotrigine, Opiates and benzo's. Last thing I need is a new drug.

How dare you insult the man saying he seeks legal highs when he's got a pharmacy in his own home! Shameless! You shall be panish for your transgression!
