What's heroin known as in the ghetto?

I'm thinking of heading into the ghetto to try and score some smack. I don't know what to ask for though, do they call it smack, "H", or something else? Thanks lol

The one I've heard used most frequently is "dope". But then again you have to make sure you're on a street with only heroin pushers and not people pushing herb just in case there would be any confusion.
The other common ones are bone, scramble, raw and if they don't say the word first, I guess smack would be appropriate to ask for if not dope. Oh, and they don't have it around where I am much.. it's almost all powder here, but other cities might have tar.
-Raw refers to really pure heroin.
-Bone refers to more dope than cut.
-Scramble refers to really low grade/mostly cut. I wouldn't even fuck with scramble. A $20 of scram is just tease.

In good old Asbury Park, NJ... I've heard heroin refered to as Scag and Diesel... hmmm.. and get this... a young dope pusher is sometimes called a 'Dieselboy'

Around here most of the heorin dealers on the street are sketchy. If you ask for heroin, they look at you like you don't know what you're talking about. If you ask for smack, it's cool, but they always say the term "dog chow." When you get that, it's a slightly offwhitish / somewhat tan powder. If you ask for dope, you're likely to get crack.

In the Northwest "dope" almost always refers to speed. (unless you're a cop and you call everything dope) Slang heroin terms are usually chiva, smack, or junk.

I actually hit a coke spot in Washington Heights (upper manhattan). Bridges were closed to cars though, so I had to park in the Bronx and cross the University Heights bridge on foot. The spot was open and jumpin as usual, and the 10 block walk was good exercise. Most importantly, there were ABSOLUTELY NO COPS ANYWHERE IN SIGHT. All the police were too busy downtown to even care about busting cokeheads.

smokin dope is smokin weed, shootin dope is shootin cheeva, and snortin dope is- normally cheeva.
