Whats a good first dose to iv ketamine, how many units should i load?

Hello all this is my first thread to ever start on here so if i break any forum rules im not meaning to and please let me know if i do. Im going to have a few vials of ketarol 500mg 10ml so its 50mg to every 1ml. This is going to be my first time to ever try ketamine the most intense psychedelics i have ever done are 5 grams of shrooms at once and the worst was two bong hits of 80x salvia which made me leave earth the salvia trip was horrible and demons were pulling at me, i hated salvia but loved the mushrooms although 5 grams were too much the perfect dose is about 3 grams for me. This will be my first time ever with ketamine and i will be doing it iv, im a ex heroin addict so i like needles. My question is how much ketamine should i take for my first dose, i do not want to be anywhere like i was on salvia but remember i do like mushrooms, based on these statements i was wondering if someone could tell me a good dose, i really just want a nice heavy buzz i dont want my brain to go away from this planet on the first time. I will be using a 1ml insulin syringe and 100 units equals 1ml which would equal 50 mg of ketamine if it was full, so if i had 20 units in my syringe it would me 10mg of ketamine please correct be if im wrong about that, so how many units should i do the first time. I am currently taking 12mg of suboxone a day i dont know if that will have any effects in anyway on the ketamine. Remember on my first dose i want to be able to look around and still know where im at, i will be getting them tomorrow or tuesday so any help before then would be appreciated thanks.
 
my advice is that if you have never shot ketamine before, you start w IM use, starting somewhere between 40 and 70mg, dependant on your body weight. so i guess if your solution is 50mg-ml, i'd start w somewhere around a ml for IM route. IV requires much less for me. get a feel for what youre in for first; you can always do a bigger dose if thats too mild for you. IM is my favorite ROA ;im a big guy and ~1cc(100mg) still gets me pretty good. any more than that, and its without a doubt the full on K experience.

Ive been doing ketamine for almost 20yrs now, and although i started muscling about 15yrs ago, i tried it IV for the first time on nye this year, and was **completely blown away by less than 1/2cc(equal to 50mg of my solution)..you can feel it hit you hard before you even finish the shot. i even had a few moments of initial panic on the rapid comeup; something i havent felt on ketamine in years.

I think had i tried it IV for my first time, id be put off by it and it wouldnt be one of my favorite substances as it is now. id get to know it a little better before diving in, but thats just my opinion. YMMV but i highly doubt it will vary much when it comes to IVing K,heh.

the problem is my rig isnt long enough it is really small like the smallest you can get almost, what if i just did 10mg iv for the first time, that wouldnt put me out would it? Also 20 units would be 10mg since its a 500mg 10ml vial correct?
 
nah, i dont think that would put you out. id say if you must go IV the first time, 10-20mg would be a good starting dose to test the waters.

you'll def feel it tho. it doesnt take much at all to feel it IV. and yeah, at 500mg/10ml, .2= 10mg.

if you dont like the extremely rapid onset, give IM a try. its still pretty fast, coming up in a few minutes, but at a nice enough pace for me to take larger doses and get the full ride.
 
I'd have someone standing by just in case you fade out before the needle is out, you must have a buddy somewhere who is okay with such an experiment?

Also, aren't insulin needles for I.M. ? I don't think they are for I.V. are they? I would definitely try I.M. first a few times before I.V.ing. Because I.V. seems to knock you out quite easily and lasts for a shorter while but I.M. is pretty smooth but still a few minutes to come up, very little side effects and potent effects. I think I.M. is much more ideal in every way from what I read, but I have only tried I.M.
 
Really a insulin syringe could be any size but most diabetics that use insulin use really small syringes thats why i said i had a insulin syringe i dont know the exact gauge, I can use tiny syringes cause i have no problem finding a vein, When people I.M. they use a bigger needle it has to be able to be long enough to get into the muscle and you dont want a fine needle breaking in a muscle, the rig i have now wouldnt make it into the muscle and if it did it could easily break so im going to I.V. it. I like a really fast onset going from sober to messed up so i think i will be ok as long as i dont leave the planet the first time, i guess for the first time ill try 10-15 mg just to be on the safe side but it looks like im going to have to wait till tomorrow dont think it will be here today. Im brand new here so thanks to everyone for making me feel at place.

i agree 100% w sol; this is what i was trying to tell ya. like i and solipsis both said, before you even finish pushing the plunger, youre feeling the effects. ive had a few friends who are exp. with IVing it, and they say that is there biggest problem: getting the needle out of their arm before they go unconcious.. IM is a much better route IME, esp when it comes to begginer use.
