Whatever happened to 5-iodoaminoindane?

I had something that purported to be this and it was horrible,the chemical had that nasty burnt rubber/metal taste and smell that seems common to a lot of halogenated compounds and was like bad MDPV (come to think of it....) and then I had what I know was real,which had almost no taste and took 500mg and a dopaminergic booster, but was then absolutely lovely. That was two years ago. What news since? Is it a case of the 3,4-dmmc's where the recreational dose is simply not worth the toxicity?
