What you think become your reality

"What you think and believe about is the reality you become and live"

thoughts on this?

IMO, this is an interesting and potentially motivating quote, but one with several poignant caveats. Think about it - as others have pointed out, thinking and believing something positive absolutely has the curious power to become manifested reality. During times of extreme duress and hardship, reaffirmations of a positive future ahead has kept me doing the next right things as they specifically applied to my life. Sure enough, with consistency and persistence, these dreams were realized.

I've endured amazing bouts of what some might dub 'misfortune' or 'bad luck.' I'm not going to ascribe deterministic terminology to it, but I will say that edring concomittant legal, physical, social, romantic, psychological and spiritual maladies would not have been possible without persistent positive thinking, coupled with the greatest dgree of acceptance I could muster.

And so, from my experiences, positive thinking in the face of potential desolation CAN effect a positive reality.

However - again, as ohers have aptly pointed out - delusional thinking borne of negativistic attitudes or as manifestations of mental illness can also be realized if one allocates their thinking intensely enough towards it. This, then, is the caveat of which I speak. Obviously, catering to delusions will be maladaptive. With regards to subscribing to this topic's quote, know yourself. Know your intentions before enacting a real-life response to them.

I've fallen prey to acting on inappropiate trains of thought that, at the time, I truly believed to be representative of virtuous thinking. The results have been... well... devastating! I would definitely be remiss if I did not share my experiences, both positive and negative, with the OP's quote!
